This thread needs more possibly gay lyrical quoting.  :)

Enya - A Moment Lost

It's only now when words are said
that break my heart in two,
I wonder how you can endure
all I've said, all I say to you.

How strong, how brave, how true of you
to bear the hurt I gave.
I know it tears your heart in two;
all I've said, all I say to you.

After all the words are said,
after all the dreams we made:
every one a precious one,
every one a summer sun...

A moment lost, forever gone
can never be again,
so know how much it means to me;
all you said,
all you gave,
all your love to me.

I think it's more of a "you'd better have a good explaination" scowl.

I used to think Leela was way to harsh in "Parasites" but I eventually came to pretty much the same conclusion as the fic Xanfor posted. She was kinda stuck between shock and remembering stupid things Fry's said/done regarding love in the past. You also have to look at the fact that any decision somebody makes in a situation like that isn't going to be too rational. Especially when it's a very emotional person to begin with.

Yes... How could we forget that tumor?  Deca I think thats what Frisco was talking about then he said  very emotional person.

I think that Leela in that scene definatly was shocked. On moment Fry is smart intelegent and everything she wants then he leaves then comes back and is back to normal. She couldn't believe that he would do that. She knows that Fry loves her and would do anything pretty much to be with him. Then he goves up the thing that makes him everything she wants. She didn't get the fact that Fry wanted her to be with him for the true Fry not the Fry that the worms created.

If you're thinking of blaming the tumour for her refusal to go out with Fry, forget about it. Try blaming common sense.

And... and... and... the BRAIN PARASITE she got from her contact with Nibbler. Nibblonians can spread toxoplasmosis too, why not? *head asplode*

By the tumor I assume you're refering to:

Leela: "I usually try to keep my sadness pent up inside where it can fester quietly as a mental illness."

So it isn't as much a tumor as it is "land-ocean madness". Lois Griffin is the one with the tumor, the singing tumor.

Seconded. So long as they go on to explore what happens next in a brand new series afterward.  :)

Most likely only if it doesn't come back as a series, though...

That's my presumption, anyway.

I predict Leela will kiss Fry at at least some point over the next three movies. Whether this will result in a relationship is a complete other matter.

Honestly, they've teased us quite enough.  Stop before Leela's excuses run out!  Oh wait.  Too late.

Just make them kiss already!!

well, they have kissed...
and she has kissed him...
But of course, only in a cover-up-in-front-of-Zapp sense.

Wait--and at the end of TWOF.

Oh, to clarify, when I said "not unless it's not renewed" I meant them being in a relationship, not them kissing.

Also, I like how in that picture Fry's got surprise-marks coming out of his head.

I think that's whats going to happen in "ITWGY" too. I remember them saying that the Fry/Leela thing is "resolved" in the last movie and I take "resolved" to be that.^ I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't do it if somebody picks up new episodes after the movies though. I hope they're smart enough to realize they'll have beaten it to death by then and need something new. Which leads me back to what I've said all along. That having Fry and Leela together can lead just as much zanyness as Fry chasing her, mabey even more.

Resolved better be that. Even when the series get renewed they better ot continue to fuck with us about them!

I agree Frisco. It could open up whole new insane story lines.

Hehe, wow, I don't know why I said, "make them kiss already" when they already have.. stress of exams   ;)

Just have Leela go on that magical date with him and show us how awesome this relationship would be once Leela got past her doubts about it!  Only with the orange hair and normal voice..  ;)

Fry and Leela married would be funny as hell in a new series. Talk about the odd couple. Plus the occassional crisis in their relationship would make for great plot fodder - like a younger, sexier, more dynamic version of the Homer/Marge pairing in The Simpsons.
And then Leela could fall pregnant in the Big Screen Futurama Movie.

Ah, so that's what they're called.

Nice drawing, Coldy. Still, I hate to think how the writers are going to toy with us shippers until Yonder.

Maybe it's the Tom Petty song that did it, but that movie subtitle should definitely be "A Rebel Without a Clue". Suits Fry perfect.

Hey, you never know, they might just blam them into a relationship half way through Beast with a Billion Backs.

... and then cruelly crush everyone's souls by having them break up five minutes later after realising that they were manipulated into it by the evil aliens or something...

Dude if they do that I'd freak out. God I already talk to the TV enough but if they did that I'd turn on the commentary ofter watching it the first time and yell at people who can't hear me. They can'y do that to us. I doubt they would their not that evil.

Also I second what coldy said about them getting married.
