My friend and I have very similar kind of exchanges.
eg:
"You fucking filthy cunt, I hope you get cancer and rot! Nah, you're cool."

Must be a guy thing?

I do it too.  My family finds it really annoying.  Like if my little brother was drawing a picture, I'd say, "That picture is really ugly and sloppy.  No offence."

I think what you're doing is a completely different type of thing.

One of my friends and I frequently call each other fascist, bigot, cunt or worthless piece of shit, or wish cancer upon each other. It's all done with endearment though. I think the situation being talked about is more like that. You're just trying to excuse yourself for being an arsehole  big grin

Futuramadrama, I don't think you quite got the characters of Cubert and Dwight, but whatever. Dwight was useless, I think he was only introduced so Cubert could talk to someone in his own element... which turned out to suck anyway.

I hated "I Dated A Robot" but loved "Bendin' In The Wind". IDAR wasn't about Fry, it was about kissing Lucy Liu's ass. Bender was the real focus of BITW; Beck was treated just like a side character. The difference is obvious. I hope they never, ever do anything like IDAR again.

Screw Guenther. I hated that character the first time; I can definitely live without seeing him again.

*cough*Cubert*cough*

... *cough*sucks*cough*

"Bendin' in the Wind" was one of my most favorite episodes. The greatness of that episode came in making fun of Beck rather than kissing his ass. To that, I wouldn't mind Beck returning, but the story would have to be good. Same goes with the cast of Star Trek; they were willing to make fun of their work, they had a good time, and I don't think anybody would mind them coming back.

Cubert's fine by me, as long as he's used for his original purpose of making fun of inaccuracies with the crew then getting mad at him for doing so. At the same time, he's my least favorite "main" character, though.

I want the Crushinator, Hedonism Bot, the Robot Devil, Xanfor and Katrina, Scruffy, and Sal back in some form. And I want more Zapp and Zoidberg, dammit! It seemed like they were blown off during BBS, and they're my favorite main/secondary characters.

Dwight was back in the movie and I didn't mind, I think he's an OK character when they just use him as Hermes' son, there's really no need for another Cubert and Dwight storyline

Aside from other characters mentioned, Hedonism bot brings little to nothing to the table

I never liked the Beck episode until I listened to Odelay, which is like one of the best albums of the 90's.
I don't like Cubert or Dwight, so get rid of them, oh and Hypnotoad can go he's ran his course.

Brilliant!
That's... that's... INSPIRED!

It's so crazy, it just might work!

Either it works, and they make each other better people, or:
It doesn't work, and they kill one another!
A win-win situation.

At least JackedOn agrees with me on that Nibbler should get the ax. As if wearing a cape and a diaper (didn't he know how to use a litter box when introduced in "Love's Labours Lost In Space"?) were not enough, his voice is a complete mismatch with his appearance. Funny once, annoying from there on.

I like the character of Nibbler, and I thought both his voices (high pitched pet babbling & low pitched english) worked great.

[Scuffy]Second[/Scruffy]

A while ago, I read a short Futurama article written by Matt Groening, where he said that Hedonismbot was not only supposed to be a funny robot character, but was also supposed to be their commentary on a hedonistic lifestyle & how self centered it is.  I think that point may have gotten lost somewhere, but I think it's a funny character none the less...

I agree with the cool people: hedonism bot is an utterly ridiculous and brilliant character to have- there are so many absurd jokes to bounce off of him. He makes so little sense that his appearance alone usually makes me laugh, but that is just me ofc. Besides, who else would have reasonably commissioned an opera in the final ep?
I liked Morgan, if for no other reason than because she brought about Fry's line explaining why his cap was full of yogurt...
I wouldn't care if the mayor of NNY were never seen again if his name were anything but "Poopenmeyer".

No, she's a great character.  She'd be a great foil for Leela (since Amy's become something of a friend of Leela's towards the end.)  You could easily get a couple of more eps out of her.

Agreed, Amy & Leela need some new rivals now, maybe a new crew member if they make some more episodes...or not
