Why isn't Calculon on the list? He's a really lame character and he's in the show more often than Mom, Cubert, Wernstrom and Guenther.

In honour of this thread I've written my first-ever fan fiction - http://planet-express.co.uk/stuff/default.htm

Say what you will about Cubert, but he saved everyone's shiny metal asses from the Robot Death Squad. He served another useful purpose: he gave the show someone even Fry could whale on in front of Leela without benefit of intestinal parasites.

Cubert: "Why Do I have to be a hump?"
Fry: "'Cuz you're too ugly to be a wart."
Leela: "Heh heh heh."

Katrina, on the other hand, had better BACK OFF. If she keeps pissing me off like that, I'll take a fly swatter to her. B****.  :)

Good fic! :) Even though, it's highly unlikely Farnsworth would kill his clone.

It's also unlikely that he'd kill his ex-girlfriend and his talking monkey. But I wish he would.

How is Mom annoying? She hasn't had many appearances? Niether has Cubert. I forgot what he was like, I just remember he was annoying

She's annoying because she's a lame Burns ripoff and she's not funny.

Calculon is more or less an actor who plays a character on tv. There's nothing to really hate about him, since he doesn't have a real place in the show.

I kinda like how pompous he is. He's like Troy McClure, except he still has a career. And he's metal.

So is Mom! I find her quite funny because of her phony public personality and her astonishing--no, jaw-dropping--penchant for vicious obscenity. Calculon's a phony, too, but at least he's smooth.

I'd just as soon never see Tinny Tim again. He's a one-line gag, told too often. You don't see Pip on "South Park" anymore either.

My vote goes to Mom.  I just find her to be irritating.  Calculon is okay. He's a pretty funny character, but nothing special.  Cubert, I find to be irritating, but not quite so much as Mom.  Guenter was bad, but not horrible.
As for the people who don't like Mom's sons, both Free Waterfalls, and *gasp* Hermes, you people sicken me! :P

Camp Supervisor: "Heyyy, I like the way you think."

Welcome to PEEL, Alundar. Enjoy it here.  :D

I can pretty much agree on all your points. Except Calculon, he's really using up his credit fast (maybe that's just because I saw "Lobstertainment" yesterday).

On topic: Helper wasn't really that great a character either. Thankfully he was canned.

Thanks Teral.   :D

Personally, I found Helper to be rather funny, although it would be horrible if he ever came back.  Good for a few second appearance, though. =Þ

That's true, but ow, bad examples. "Duff Man" and "Fat Guy With Stroke" ("eeeeeeYESSSSS!" ) were both ass-blastingly funny in their first appearances; subsequent appearances were less entertaining, if not completely awful. (I was on the verge of tears and sniper fire when Fat Guy With Stroke made his second appearance.) Disco Stu has a "hook" that will continue to work for the life of the show, he's okay. Who's Gil?

I would vote for cubert but I haven't seen him in any episodes yet   :p
Scruffy is funny, Mom is hilarious, Her sons are ok, Calculon is pretty funny I'd say the one I hate is Gunther, He was just, bleh...

I so want to see when Fry rips on Cubert in front of Leela    :laff:

Oh, GIL...

The Fry/Cubert moment is one that has never been imitated in subsequent episodes. Fry and Leela have had their common enemies (usually Bender when he's doing them over), but it's the only time Fry's impressed Leela with his meanness. Yeehaw!

I think it's three, "A Clone of My Own", "Anthology of Interest I" and "Anthology of Interest II". He's also going to be in "The Route of All Evil" which hasn't aired yet.

so basicly the only one with continuity issues is 'A clone' so its possible we can still see Fry ripping on him in the futura  ;)

Definately the yacht thing.

Anyway I don't hate Cubert that much because the crew just keep ripping it out of him and so it's funny. So long as the crew keep attacking him I dont mind. I hate Guenter and Wernstrom. They are as snooty and stuck up as Cubert but no-one complains. Wernstrom did have a good line in ABPOG:

Mayor: "Dr. Wernstrom, can you save my city?"
Wernstrom: "Of course, but it'll cost you. First I'll need tenure."
Mayor: "Done."
Wernstrom: "And a big research grant."
Mayor: "You got it!"
Wernstrom: "Also, access to a lab and five graduate students...at least three of them Chinese."
Mayor: "Did...all right, done. What's your plan?"
Wernstrom: "What plan? I'm set for life. Au revoir, suckers!"
Leela: "That rat! Do something!"
Mayor: "I wish I could, but he's got tenure."

Speaking of which though, Wernstrom speaks French there, but in Clone of my Own Farnsworth says French is a dead unpronouncable language.  :)

As for Mom, I don't like her much but she is quite important to the series. She is funny when she is in the fat suit.
