Whilst Cubert was indeed annoying, I hardly believe you could consider him the 'worst' character in Futurama since he served a purpose and served it well. No, I think the "worst character" award belongs to a character who had more than 10 seconds of screen time yet did absolutely nothing decent for the show.

 So congratulations Pauly Shore!

Cubert has to be the worst character in my opinion.

Why does everyone hate Cubert? He is SUPPOSED to be irritating. Since he was sort of 'designed' to point out flaws with everything and criticize the crew then I say he's doing a damn good job.

The obvious answer is dirty hippie(aka Environmentalist Leader).  I was so glad that Lurr ate him.  And it led to a hilarious after effect.  :laff:

Exactly. I kinda like him, in that "supposed-to-be-irritating" way. Calculon, on the other hand, is just annoying.

If Futurama had to get rid of a main character, I wouldn't be mad if they let go of Hermes. There's something sort of... not likeable... about him in particular, I can't put my finger on it. Doesn't anyone else have this problem with him?

I don't like him, I don't dislike him.

As for Cubert, I don't mind him. Saying 'he's such a smartass, I hate him' is stupid because he is meant to be, as other people have said before. I'm with evan here. And I also agree with him about Calculon, he is just really annoying, and he isn't meant to be.

I don't mind Cubert as he's supposed to be a git that everyone hates and because unlike other irritating genius kids in sci-fi shows(Death to Wesley Crusher!) the characters on the show hate him.

So it's between Guenter and Michelle and since they're both in "Other" that gets my vote. I'd probably go for Guenter if I had to choose.

Oh wait you were serious?

Futurama, though I like revering it, does have its flaws. There are characters that would make no difference to the show. Like, uh, Hermes, I don't see much difference in him being gone.

But I'm most probably wrong. Go ahead, someone correct me.

I'll agree on that. Without Hermes we would lose one musical number but that's about it.

I loved the musical number but I just think that it would have been better if it where a Zoidberg music number.

Although I vote for Cubert.

I want to punch Brannigan in the face.... Not that he's a crappy character, he's just extremely annoying, and reminds me too much of one guy in college whom I wish I could've punched in the face at the time.
Other that that, I don't have any strong antipathies to any characters.

J.P, I thought he meant that too on first glance, but actually means Gunther was responsible for 1 of the three bad Futurama episodes, i.e. "Mars University."

She's not really a Burns ripoff. Sure she's an old, skinny tycoon but that's as far as the comparison goes.
