We all know Fry likes music from the 80's and possibly some 90's stuff as well.  The last episode had the notion that Leela liked opera.  Hermes likes Jamacian music.  However, we never learned what kind of music Bender, Amy, Farnsworth, or Zoidberg likes.  As a matter of fact, we never really knew what Leela liked.

What kind of music do you think those characters like?

Hey who's been messing with the radio? This isn't alternative rock. It's college rock! - Bender

I'm presuming Bender likes alternative rock.

Well, Fry likes the Dave Matthews Band. I heard something by them the other day on this game. I rate it about a C+, average, not great.:P

Leela likes jazz noodling, played drums, plays guitar in Comic #27, occasionally sings love ballads without warning.

Fry likes the Beastie Boys, classic music like "I Like Big Butts", Pat Bennitar, mostly 1980's pop.

Hermes must know some Bob Marley songs guessing from his "Stamp It, File It" diddy.

Bender likes folk, Beck, and an occasional negro spiritual like "Swing Low Sweet Chariot".

Amy is an unknown but my guess it would be a 31st Century form of dance/rave/punk.

The Professor may be too deaf to care but probably some sort of 29th Century geek pop.

Bender liked 'Tropic Island'(from Absoletely Fabulous)
The Robot Devil likes the crap he himself sings in Robot Hell.
Beck loves Bloos(what's the right way to spell it?).
The PE ship main computer liked college rock.
Seymour liked 'Walking on Sunshine'

One of the senior writers or producers must like Rush.  Not only does Fry mention his all-Rush mix tape but Bender has a line in Obsoletely Fabulous that is pretty revealing too, "A war on technology worthy of an anthem by Rush."  Sorry Geddy, Alex and Neal, but if Futurama is any indication, the coming world won't be a technological nightmare; it's actually going to be pretty cool and funny.

I figure they'd be on the side of technology in said anthem.

Bender likes alternative rock and folk.

Leela has varying tastes, but must like free jazz (her boyfriend who improvised on the sax) and rock music, and possibly showtunes/power ballads/whatever.

Fry likes hip hop (Sir Mixalot, Beastie Boys), classic rock and psychedelic/prog (Rush, the compilation reord in the vault), and 80s pop and New Wave (Men Without Hats).

Hermes presumably likes reggae, dub and ska.

Amy probably likes rave/dance music, whatever is being played at the trendy clubs.

Zoidberg has no taste in music maybe?

Farnsworth probably likes classical (i.e. contemporary) music.

I don't know what that is.
On the island he listened to Kenny Loggins and mentioned that Beethoven was on one of his 10 desert island discs.

Fry listens to 'Tom Sawyer' by Rush while he's battling Space Invaders in AOI2. I love that song.
Also, Simple Minds 'Don't you forget about me' from the Breakfast Club soundtrack featured at the end of Luck of the Fryish is another of my favourite songs.
Fry's taste in higher-grade 80's pop is much liked by me.

About Amy: She happened to like that music played in The Hip Joint ... "because noone likes it, spluh".

I haven't seen that episode in a while now, but my memory has that background music put somewhere in a category like ... "techno" maybe?

Moments we have seen Amy listening to music include the time she and Fry went to Mercury and Europa (Put Your Head On My Shoulder) and of course the Opera from the last episode.

Probably there's even more.

When they have a party you hear in the backround rap music.

I would think Amy is into surfer rock such as Dick Dale And His Deftones.

yea fry likes rush alot as well as alot of 80s and 90s music when you watch the luck of the fryrish episode in his record volt there is a run dmc record the breakfast club and others. mainly he like the music that was of his original time period.

leela likes operatic music but basicly it seems shes down for what ever music seeing that she never shows a distict choice in the episodes containing music except in the holophone based ones.

bender likes his folk music as well as some hip hop things seeing he does do some hip hop dances ass well as enjoying the beastie boys.

hermes may like regae only because of his heritage but he might not like music at at all be cause of the papers hed have to fill out to enjy it as a buearacrat.
professer looks to like some what swing or what ever music he feels appropriate for the age he asumes at any ocasion.

amy probably like rave music or surfer music though she doesnt seem to have a distact taste

zoidberg i think like old vaudville music as hee wants to be a comic .

these are jus observasions

Fry loves 80s and 90s music, plain and simple
Bender lves folk an alternative rock
Professor Farnsworth is a mystery
Amy might like some Japanese music, pop, and various other things
Leela likes instrumental music, and others (depending on what mood she's in. Remember the CD collection she has)
Hermes likes Bob Marley and some soul/reggae/Jamaican music
Zoidberg must either not listen, or like sad songs, since he can more than relate to them.

Bender likes alternative Rock and folk music.
Amy probably likes super sugary or super dirty pop.
Farnsworth might like big band or he might like gangsta rap... or both. He's weird like that.
Zoidberg probably listens to emo, but won't admit it. He might say he likes 1960s hits.
