I'm not so sure. Leela appears to me like the woman that knows what she wants. So yeah as a teenager she may have been using Fry, but in Parasites Lost when Fry fits the criteria (even too well) she really goes for him. I loved that. And knew it was not going to last, thanks to the 'things semi-back to normal at the end of episode' thing.

As for the name, I have to go for CA's parody of Devil's Hands, mostly because I admit I'm infatuated with the ending of TDHAIPlaythings.

Also I would not mind Put your head on my... Ship   smile heheheh

Or how about 'FREE BEER. Now that we've got your attention, join us in the designated shippers thread'. How lame is that?

Yay!  LaBarbara and Hermes...one of those things that lets you know that Hermes must have more to him than we see, because LaBarbara is way too cool to love a guy who actually was as shallow and callous as Hermes pretends to be.

Re: Leela's teen date with Fry: Leela wasn't using Fry.  I don't know how I know it, I just do.  Even though she enjoyed showing off her "friend from the surface," she acted way too pleased to see him, and was grinning and giggling way too naturally, for her to be using him. She was obviously attracted to Fry - in a giggly kid way, but still. Equally telling (for me) is what she was NOT doing - namely, she was NOT emphasizing how this was not "a real date," nor was she discouraging Fry's romantic gestures (like the flowers).  In fact she was amazingly relaxed the whole time, it was truly a joy to see....

Anyone tempted to interpret this as Leela just being very good at "using" Fry, kindly recall how bad an actress she is.  wink  Leela is a direct person - she doesn't (knowingly) play games, she doesn't have the patience for it.

I agree. Especially about the bad actress/direct person part, that's very true now that you mention it.
Teen Leela, under the influence of hormones, was doing what she wanted to do, as opposed to what she felt she should do... for once. That's why she openly expressed her happiness to see Fry, and then impulsively took part in a boat race. This was Leela unimpeded by ingrained sensibilities and prejudice.

Damn it, we need to inject Leela with teen hormones and then we might actually get somewhere

From WTBR, when they're camping on Mars:
Leela: Fine Mr. Noitallaboutsomethingfinally, you tell a story.

It's not really shippy, i know,... unless you like to call their squabbling unresolved tension.  We're running out of shippy pics to show  frown

And awwww, tastes like fry, sweet hand holding pics!

Yeah, I'm planning to slaughter a goat in sacrifice to the show on Monday night.
Then I will eat said goat on behalf of the show.
My neighbour doesn't know yet that I plan to kill and consume her goat. I think it's best she doesn't... I'm broke and hungry.
