Have you ever though what it would be like if fry was the one with the one eye and leela was with two? Would fry be smart and beutiful, and Leela would be a no minded dumass??

I can't say I have, but it seems to me the things that would change would be the number of eyes either of them has and what might follow from that.
For example, Leela might well have been much more readily accepted by the other orphans if she'd had two eyes. This would have radically changed her personality.
As for Fry; a Cyclops in present-day New York? The National Enquirer would have a field day!
  :p
But it wouldn't directly affect either of their intelligences.  :hmpf:

No I think Fry would still be stupid.I don't think anything could make him smart.

Maybe Fry would never had come to the future, after all, I dont think a probable human marval would work in a pizzarier (sp?) and I think Leela would have had more look with previos men she dated.

If Fry had one eye, and Leela had two, that won't change their personilities.  The only difference would be the Fry would be an outcast and Leela would have been more accepted in society.  Imagine how Fry's parents and brother would've reacted if Fry had been born with one eye.  Also, if Fry had one eye, maybe he never would've came to the future, and never had worked in a pizzeria.  Who knows?  Maybe Fry would've lived in Coney Island for the rest of his life in a freak show.  Or maybe he would've joined a circus.

Well, having grown up as an outcast or being accepted will change their personalities. Plus, Fry's brain would have to be really small in order for the eye to fit in his skull.

Sort of. But Leela puts every brain cell to work, unlike what most humans are supposedly able to do.

Intelligence, in my opinion, has absolutely nothing to do with how many eyes you have. I don't think Leela's brain is small, but maybe it could be slightly different in shape so her eye would fit in her head. You never know. Mutant wonders nobody has yet to solve.

Look at Leela's head - it's very large.  Sarge commented in the past that animating Leela's head and Amy's hair were two of the more difficult things to do.

Leela doesn't have a smaller or larger brain - her head is larger from the nose up to accomodate her large eye.

She wears her hair in her style (single bang over the eye) to not only hide her eye, but to make her head shape and size seem more normal.

Ah no I've never thought that and I doubt it would make fry smarter and def not beautiful, why do you think Fry havin 1 eye would make him beautiful anyway?
Jeez man what are you thinking? when you look at Fry do you think, "man he is hot but he would be even more beautiful if he only had one eye"?

Fry's intelligence stems from his lack of the delta brain wave, the amount of eyes he has didn't have anything to do with that at all. Plus, we all learned from The Cyber House Rules that Leela looks hotter with one eye. Don't mess with the formula, man!

... How can a change in your physical appearance change your intelligence by itself? :/

Fry with one eye?  Frankly, I'm surprised he still has two.  I mean, considering all the forks and knives and pointy sticks out there, and the number of times he's been dismembered, Fry is lucky to have two eyes, let alone one.

And Leela?  Even (maybe especially) with two eyes, her mutant parents would still have left her at the orphanage.  After that, well....  OK, this is where the question gets really interesting.  Would Leela have settled for another two-eyed human like Adlai (the lame-o from "Cyber House Rules" )?  I think not.

But, I assert, she still would have been attracted to Fry's 20th century rebellion from being assigned a career chip.  In the end, it doesn't matter who has how many eyes (as long as it's less than five).  (We've never seen the Prof's eyes, for example.)  What matters is that Fry rebelled against the established protocol, and that inspired Leela to do the same.

That, ultimately, is what attracts Leela to Fry.  He's a doofus, sure, but he's sincere, and he stands up for himself.  No matter how many eyes anybody has, that sincerity, with Leela's honesty, would have brought them together.

If Leela had two eyes she might have been adopted by someone...no idea what this could cause though maybe she wouldn't live in new new york not really sure.

Agreed. Leela hadn't had a good child hood, due to the other orthans calling her "one eye"
But fry with one eye is wierd...
