ay ay ay clam down calm down. Let's quit widda ta' fuddin' an' ta' fighting. Look I know I'm no really authority here but is calling each other names or saying rerotory things gonna sort out anything otu now is it  .Look there is a diffrence of opinion here and until Ben or anyone else proves to me otherwise I'm gonna stay in the L&F camp.

Now on to my point. Future Stokes was aired last night on Sky one, the fact that the episode sucked is irrelevent at this point. I am just curious why that in the past few episodes they have not mentioned L&F relationship since Love & Rocket. I just think it is odd that they have not expanded on the end of that episode unless of course Edrik is right but I probably should not have mentioned that because now Ben might bitch about it. Just curious anyway  :D

Why? Because all the episodes that you're seeing now take place BEFORE that episode. See, the FOX network, in their infinite wisdom, *several sarcasm detectors explode* decided to run two episodes from the fourth production season before finishing out the third (and STILL couldn't be bothered to show "The Route of All Evil").

Y'know, I don't think we'll ever be able to understand Fox and their *divine wisdom*...
[insert snicker here]
I wonder how things'll play out in "Less Than Hero".  If people regard L&F like they do X-Men, they'll most likely be ridiculed or feared.  This might cause some empathy on Fry's part for how Leela feels.  Then again, who am I to say?  There's no telling which way Ron's gonna take us...unless...

Not really on-topic, but not worth a new topic...I'm watching an episode of Mystery Science Theater 3000 right now, and just realized where Groening and company got the idea for a purple-haired, one-eyed woman who pilots a ship while babysitting immature 'bots and humans. It's amazing how something like that can be right in front of your snot locker for YEARS and you never catch on...

I see so the infinite wisdom of Fox creates chaos again. Why do they even bother?

i for one cannot even comprehend why they simply wont just follow the -BEEP- production order?
It would seriously ease the strain on their obviously *ahem* intelligent minds and free up that other brain cell for productive work.... like understanding that Futurama is actually profitable?
but them again, im probably just naive

Oh, no--you can't worry about stuff like that. I'm doing all sorts of crap in my first fic--Early June! Promise!--much of which will almost certainly be negated by "Season Five." (And if the show went any longer, I'm sure everything would be undone.)

Just pick a point in the current known continuity, and tack a notice about said point in the beginning of your fic, whether it's supposed to take place between two episodes or another thousand years hence.

Then go totally Nutzilla. (Just wait a tic, and I'll show you. [sings] Oh, you never would believe where those suicide booths come from...)

True enough the better fan fictions are usually the ones who like to use more risky ideaseven if they are latter proven wrong.

Still it is annoying. Especially the Fry and Leela thing. This season they showed three series 4 prodution episodes Love & Rocket, Leela's home world and where no fan has gone before. Now to me it seemed that something was happening between them by the end of Love and Rocket, yet by Where no Fan has goen before Leela was making out with Shatner. I know it was the joke that Kirk seemed to get off with alomost every woman he met, still I really want to know what happened in between those episodes.

I don't think anything happened between "Love & Rocket" and "Where No Fan Has Gone Before" that would explain it.  Fry and Leela just didn't get together at the end of L&R because Zoidberg interrupted them...

That's an example of why I think keeping Fry and Leela apart for too long would be to the detriment of the show.  Some of the plot devices used to keep Fry and Leela apart have been convoluted, and in the case of L&R (and to a lesser extent Xmas Story) pretty stupid.

Maybe but personally I'm not convinced. I mean Fry did save her life and all and I doubt even Zoidberg could remove that from their memories.

Unfortunately, the "reset" button, where everything's back to the way it was at the end of the episode, is one of the evils of episodic television.

Futurama's made a better effort than most TV shows to avoid this "reset" button, but when it comes to Fry and Leela, they've been leaning on it.

yeah true. Sometimes I wish these shows would take a lesson from Anime Tv series like Neon Genesis Evangelion and have a series that follows through. Mind you Futurama does follow through more than the Simpsons does, at leasst they refer to past episodes.

Perhaps "Where no fan..." was produced before "Love n rocket" and FDox screwed up the airing order of them

love and rocket is 4ACV03 and where no fan is 4ACV11 i believe.
therefore what you say is incorrect

If its the third episode of season 5 then how will it be possible for Fry and Leela to end up together, hmmmm?  Also people here talking about Fry and Leela's relationship: Argh! I'm not trying to start an argument but get off your soap boxes. Is this all your interested in happening? I've heard someone put if they don't get together at the end its still inevitable they'll get together. Well put but its unlikely they will get together inevitably because its just a cartoon. I have a different view than others here and watch it for different purposes.  ;)

Well, I COULD see them showing it on Valentine's Day, you know they do that sort of thing.

Of course, at the rate they've been going, that WOULD be the 3rd ep they show.

That's one of the things I like about Futurama, though.  They always manage to keep a balance.  There are plenty of romantic and/or touching moments in Futurama, but it never really detracts from the humor.

Gotta totally agree with David A on this one.  Like in "Xmas Story":  "But together, we're lonely together."  I found that both funny and touching at the same time.  By the way, "Xmas Story" is an absolute gem of an episode from beginning to end.
