I recall in the episode in the scene where Fry, Bender, and Zapp court-martial Leela, Fry was on Zapp's side.
Mutiny. They were mutinying against her.
Question is, why didn't Fry try to stand up for Leela? Considering he idolizes with her. Why did he turn against her, too? Fry is in love with Leela, he should've at least stood up for her. I know Leela can hold her own, but, still Fry should've sided with her.
Did you even watch the episode? They explained it quite clearly why Fry sided with Bender and Zapp against Leela and Kif.
Leela: "You really don't want me to be captain anymore?"
Bender: "You got it, genius."
Leela: "But, didn't I do a good job?"
Fry: "You were mean and you yelled and you made us do all that work."
Leela: "Sometimes a captain needs to do those things. Besides I, I thought we were friends."
Fry: "Yeah, well, you shouldn't have been such a mean captain then."
I don't see how they could've made it any more obvious that Fry and Bender were just being lazy slobs when they made Zapp captain.
