When he got frozen, can anyone assume that anyone who knew Fry gave up looking for him, and he was presumed dead and his co-workers, friends (if any), and his family had a memorial service for him?

I thought about this in that episode "The Cryonic Woman" when Michelle told Fry nobody cared when he was gone.  And only Michelle discovered that he was frozen.

In the episode "Jurassic Bark" you see his parents seeming more interested in his dog than in the missing Fry... I'm guessing they just wrote him off. Can you really imagine fry's parents springing for a funeral for fry? funerals are expensive!

Plus, to add to what Gopher said, hell, they just really didn't care that much about Fry, and obvioulsy, nobody else did either. Who goes to a funeral for someone they hate?

Edit: Ok, possibly someone who killed their enemy and are celebrating about it, but, that's not the situation is it?  ;)
