In the first episodes, Professor Farnsworth was nice and kind.  Then as the series began to develop, The Professor became very senile and mean.  Especially when it came to Fry's cluelessness and Wernstrem!

Anyone else noticed that?

Yeah, it's called "character development".

He was senile right from the start.  As for being meaner to Fry later on, well, if you were Fry's employer, he'd probably start to get on your nerves after a while too.

He was from the start pretty "coldhearted" as well, especially when it came  to his employees. Point was that on the start he (well, like many of characters) had no specific personality but like time went on he was more and more funny in  the rage. I think in one older thread we´ve disscussed this on Simpsons characters (Milhouse, etc.).

That's true; he does consider them to be expendable.

As do I, the Professer started to become one of my favorite characters later in the series, simply because I love his senseless outbursts and anger.

Pretty sure he has a "Fry's organs", "Hermes' organs", "Amy's organs", "Zoidberg's orans I", "Zoidberg's organs II" and "Bender's parts" box as well.

Yeah, it's not so much that he wanted her to be dead; he just wanted her organs if she was done using them.  Also, if anything happens to Amy, try and bring back the blood.

Man I love the professor. Yeah I agree it's character development. I love how he is now. He's just great. Like I said, I think he needs more scenes and time on episodes.

That's what I love about Futurama the most. It's just one big story and the characters grow. It's rare to find something like that on a cartoon.
