Cubert was introduced as Farnworth's clone. He was created because Farnsworth wanted an heir and didn't have any kids. Unfortanately, Cubert is a pain in the butt because he insists on annoying everyone with his genius and nearly everyone hates him. Just in case you were confused by "Cutbert" and not who Cubert is, it was a typo probably.
