I know what KP feels, though.  Sometimes I feel the Cubert hatred goes a little too far.  (And I don't see what is wrong with Dwight, except that he hangs around with Cubert and possibly picks up some dislike-by-association). 

I know Cubert was created to be hated, so to speak, but they ended up making him a little more sympathetic, and I just get a little...uneasy at the depth of the hatred he still generates.

I have to agree.  I only "hate" Cubert because I'm supposed to hate him, but I honestly don't see why he's given us any reason to despise him.  The same goes for Dwight.  I mean, it's fun to see him get roughed up in the show, because he certainly deserves most of that, but I'd be a tad disappointed if someone actually killed him off (AoI doesn't count).

Exactly; I'd find him annoying IRL but as a character I think he's great. And there's nothing wrong with Dwight; he'd be alright even as a real person.

Oh I don't know... Cubert does not show up often, and he is a good role model of the obnoxious teen. He is not one of my favourites, no Sir, but I don't see him as a nuisance either.
