Yeah, I agree.  But just because she has a reason for her attitude (more of one than most of the other characters,) that doesn't make her nice.  It just makes her a sympathetic character.

My point remains valid, other characters are nicer than Leela.

Definetly Zoidberg, hes actually everybodys friend, even if they insult him etc.
And like said before hes only person that can fill santas ultra strict terms of being nice.

My vote goes to Fry. He seems to accept people no matter what they look like or do. He thinks Leela is great despite her horrible eye. As a matter of fact, he likes her eyes, because it makes her who she is. And he loves Bender even though he's a horrible jerk. After all the times Bender has treated Fry like crap, he still considers him a best buddy.

I don't know why everyone is voting for Zoidberg. I like him and all, but he can be horribly mean, in a 5 year old kind of way. He cut Fry's arm off, and he often makes one-lined smart remarks about people that are quite cruel, such as  "The music's bad and you should feel bad!" to Fry infront of all those people.

I'm not bashing any of the characters I've mentioned, I like them all a lot, just saying that they really shouldn't be considered overly nice people. Except Fry. =P

Well, the arm cutting off is explained that he did it while hes mating season (its chaotic time, when his behavior is controlled by the tiny brains in his rump. .)

And the cruel one-liners aren't really anything compared to what he gets from people, (like hermes: filthy crap, spineless crawdant etc.)
and (most of the time) hes is everybodys friend, even if they really aren't his.

This is a response to ShortRoundMcfly (Hello, McFly) for he and others who skip to the end of the thread.  The only qulaifier I would add is that Zoidberg acts nicer most of the time, but that's just cause he's a shameless ass-kisser with no friends.  Nah, actually he's alright, but Fry just seems more naturally nice.

He's emotional but generally he's probably the nicest. Maybe Fry, I can't actively recall him saying anything cruel.

I think Hermes is the nice,but his wife Labarbara is way nicer than him!!!They are both great!!!!

Amy is usually pretty nice, except when her insecurities regarding Leela get the better of her. But even that pales before Zoidberg, who's nice to everyone even when they insult him and is viewed as nice by Santa.
