At best he may have came second but I'm sure Bender would still have came first.

Bender was always going to win this> It was all just a popularity contest.

Bart: "Well, I was wondering - how important is it to be popular?"
Homer: "I'm glad you asked, son. Being popular is the most important thing in the world."

Bender! Wouldn't this poll of made more sense without him and then calling it the SECOND best robot in futurama as we all know Bender is the best.

Wow, just like the Leela/Amy poll, this one was decided before it began. Bender gets my vote, though URL kicks ass too.

Unit 2013 in "Insane in the Mainframe" was a cool robot.  He was the one who showed Fry around the HAL Institute (for criminaly insane robots).

Reminds me of this dude.

From the Sci-Fi Movie "Silent Running"

Silent Runnings, that was the movie with John Candy and the jamaican bobsled team, right? I don't remember that robot being in it*.

But anyway, I also liked Frankie the lunchroom robot at the insane asylum.

"He thinks he's a lunchroom worker, so they put him to work in the lunchroom. How is work in the luchroom, Frankie?"

"S'alright."

"Poor Frankie."

P.S. kidding

How can Bender not win???  If Robot Santa were there, he'd be 2nd, and if Roberto were there he'd probably be 3rd, then URL for 4th, and honorable mention would go to Malfuntioning Eddy....  If you really wanna go any further Calculon would be 6th, and the Werecar from The Honking could come in 7th........

On a side note, I've noticed that topics about robots never include Project Satan from The Honking. He must fit in, at least within a very borderline definition of "robot," since he's "conscious" and transmits viral programs. He just couldn't do anything but run people and other 'bots over. Perhaps it's his non-name.

Still, I'd just like to give him props for the second-best total-gross-out villain line in the series:

"I LOVE runnin' people over! Makin' their organs squirt out like chunky mustard!!"

(First-place goes to Santa Claws:

"I'll tear off your skin like wrapping paper, and deck the halls with your guts!&quot ;)

Well, Bender was bound to win this. He's a maincharacter afterall, and though cool as he is, Robot Santa has been in far too few episodes to really make an impact.

Benders presence in the pool makes it unbalanced, and thus the results of the lesser robots is somewhat random. Maybe we should make a pool without Bender?

Just a thought.  :)

I think I might do that, in my opinion many of the best robots are missing from the Poll anyway like Roberto and Beelzebot.
