Out of the following Futurama characters, who would be most able to handle the distant past (the 2000s)?  I excluded Fry for obvious reasons.

hmmmm, thats a tough choice, but I'll have to say Amy. She's too stupid to notice the change.

Hermes, his line of work, suprisingly, hasn't really changed over the 1000 years, an accountant is an accountant is an accountant.

I think Cubert would do best. Maybe better then Fry. And I'm not biased at all.

I agree with Rage Dump.  Hermes would probably be able to get on his feet quite easily.  Amy would be okay if she could bring money back with her, but otherwise I don't think she'd have much of a chance.

I think Fry had problems fitting in in the year 2000. But thats not the question you asked, Hermes would be best at fitting in, or maybe Scruffy.

Leela, being a past cryogenics counceler, probably worked with at least a few people from the 21st century and learned a bit about them. Why not?  :)

Hermes, as none of the others would work. For example: Leela has one eye, Bender is a robot, Farnsworth is too old, etc...

I agree with Nasty Pasty that Amy's stupidity would help her with dealing with the 2000's

I don't think she'd do so great with money, either.  I don't know about you, but I'm not going to be accepting payment in the form of $300 bills with Nixon's face on them any time soon.

Since we can't vote for Fry, I'm going to vote for That Guy.   :p  Naw, I'll agree with Rage et al. and vote Hermes.

Cubert and Zapp would work

Zapp would probably just see the whole thing as a joke and a chance to pick up some hot 21st century babes. He'd adapt perfectly.

Hermes seems the most normal out of all of them.
Leela: 1 eye
Bender: robot
Farnsworth: really old
Amy: She'd probably fit in, just not as much as Hermes
Zoidberg: A big crab monster. 'Nuff said
Cubert: Too smart for his own good
Zapp: He'd try to score with 21st century girls
Kif: he's green, he's got no hair, he has a weird shaped head...
other: Never heard of him.   :p

Well, Zapp is partially based on Captain Kirk, who never seemed to have much trouble adjusting when HE went back in time.

I vote other, for Scruffy. Honestly, the man looks at porn and slacks off all day. That's pratically the 21st century way of life.

Hermes is so unfuturistic, if you think about it. he would be best in the 21 st century.

Amy's too reliant upon 31th century techonology to survive.  She would be lost without her party board, hover car, etc.

Hermes is the obvious choice, but I don't like obvious.  I think Zapp would fit in well with our current military standoff.
