In i dated a robot episode, When fry got his hands chomped off by the dinosaur when he got new hands, if you look closley at his new hands there kind of brown colored and later in the show there back to white.

also, i doubt the writers would change Fry's hand color just for the sake of that one joke...it would look stupid

i think you need to remember that it is a cartoon, stuff like that happens all the time, e.g. in the 30% Iron Chef bender chops his arm into small peices, and it fixes itself, its just a cartoon.

By the way, I wouldn't worry about the color of the new hands. I'd be more concerned with the fact that he didn't die! Usually something like that would kill someone.

And so would old age, but the Professor's still alive (even after getting even older from TMLH and surviving all of those explosions in TFP). Anyway in answer to your question, it's probably because the blood hadn't circulated in them properly yet.
