Hello All, This seems the least innappropriate place to put this, and I don't believe there's been a thread like this before, but just in case I'm wrong, I apologize in advance. I was cruising through the IMDB(*) web-pages about Futurama and found a page of links to movies and such, that have referenced our favorite show. Curious, I followed a number of the links, but they only lead me to the appropriate IMDB page about the show or movie doing the referencing: No mention of what the reference actually was. Here's the text of what I found: Originally posted on IMDB: Movie links for "Futurama" (1999) Referenced in Simpsons Wrestling, The (2001) (VG) Spider-Man 2: The Game (2004) (VG)
Featured in My Wasted Life (2000) (TV) Unfaithful (2002)
I'm wondering if any of you might have seen the references to Futurama in any of the above-mentioned productions, or at least can tell me what they are- er, were? Oh, and if anybody cares, you may find the page I refer to right here.Later... (*) IMDB= Internet Movie DataBase, in the off chance there's soomeone out there who doesn't already know what it means...

According to the IMDB page for "Unfaithful," the movie doesn't reference Futurama, but instead "features" it. This distinction is used to indicate when movies or TV shows are edited into other movies or TV shows. For instance, in one season 4 episode of The Sopranos, Tony watches "The Public Enemy," the old James Cagney gangster movie. So Public Emeny would be listed as "featured" in The Sopranos. [As opposed to Silvio's repeated imitation of Al Pacino as Michael Corleone, which would be listed as a "reference" to Godfather 3)
So, instead of Diane Lane saying "Bite my shiny metal ass," (which I'd happily do any time, by the way), some character in the movie was probably watching Futurama on TV.
If you're not sleeping by now, you are immune to my powers of over-explanation. Congrats!

OK, everybody, let's say it together.....
Duck Dodgers Cartoon..... Zoidberg makes a cameo (pictured) in the episode of DUCK DODGERS entitled "Attack of the Drones".
Now, in case you're implying that the Zoidberg 'cel' was taken directly from Futurama, and wish to know EXACTLY which episode he was in that position in.... I can't help you there. I'd need a more recognizable pose. I think, however, that it's just an homage/cameo, and that it wasn't taken directly from Futurama's cel archive...

oh and by the way.... If Spideerman says KNOCK it up a notch, that's an Elzar reference. Since John DiMaggio apparently did a voice on it, it makes it an ever bigger possibility.
If he only said KICK it up a notch, THEN it's an Emeril reference.
Thank you.

Unfaithful was on TV last night and I was curious to see how Futurama was featured in it and ... it wasn't!
There were a few scenes where people were watching TV but Futurama wasn't on. IMDB says "Music from Futurama" was in it as well but I didn't hear it. It's possible that the scene Futurama was featured in was cut out and there was no time to remove it from the credits.
It's also a very boring film.

Wow, did you know that the 'Futurama featured in Unfaithul' thing has been mentioned at least two other times on this message board, and both those threads mentioning it outdate this one... (eg 1, 2) Though each thread has a slightly different purpose to it.In one of the threads about it (see eg 1, above)other people have also said they didn't notice Futurama in the movie. I would say you're right about it being cut and not being removed from the credits. It might possibly be available on the dvd in deleted scenes though. I don't know if anyone has checked.
