Hey all.  Just signed up here, and I thought I would point out an unimportant but interesting little error in "Jurassic Bark":

In one of the flashback scenes of the day after Fry was frozen (January 1, 2004), there's a shot of the inside of his family's house.  His Dad is on the phone trying to find Fry (I think) and his Mom and brother are watching TV in the background.  One of them (his Mom, IIRC) is wearing a block of cheese on her head, like a Green Bay Packers fan.  Problem is that the Packers are in the NFL, and the NFL never plays on New Year's Day: New Year's football is strictly college-level.

I might have the episode on tape from when it ran on [AS] the other night.  I should go back anc check to get the details right.

I'm not American, but as far as I know it's not just Packers fans who're refered to as cheese heads, most Wisconsin teams use that term (something with that state being big on dairy inudstry or something). One of teams playing in the Rose Bowl was University of Wisconsin, so it doesn't look like a goof by the animators.

Welcome to PEEL, Whitemoth. Enjoy it here.

On the commentary, David Cohen assured "all you jocks out there" that the score was accurate.

About the only inaccuracy is that IIRC, it was light out when they were watching the Rose Bowl, which doesn't kick off until around 5:30 EST, when it would already be dark in New York.

I live in Wisconsin.  I will explain all.  Yes, Wisconsinites are sometimes referred to  as "cheeseheads," regardless of whether they're Packer fans or not.  The term usually DOES apply to Packer fans, though.  Since Wisconsin won the Rose Bowl, I guess Fry's mom wore the cheese on her head because she was showing her pride for said state.

Wasn't there as well a picture called "31st century super bowl" where Amy is a "cheese-head"?
I didn't got the joke and thought that it is an American (and not only Wisconsin) football tradition.

Maybe Teral does remember the picture?

In "The Luck of the Fryrish", doesn't Fry's mom say "I'll never forget the day Fry dissapeared... Wisconsin won the Rosebowl (#) to (#)!" or something like that?
