Forgive me if this seems really stupid, but I've been wondering about this for a long time.

OK... in "Kif Gets Knocked Up a Notch" it appears that Zapp wears a toupee.  But in "In the Buggalo Roam," that tornado that the Martians create blow his hair all over the place, and apparently he has actual hair.  So.. was the toupee just a one-episode-only gag used in KGKUAN?  And should toupees even exist, what with hair-replacement robots ("Luck of the Fryrish" )?  Anyone have an opinion or an answer for this?

I haven't actually seen that ep. for a while. Does he take it off or something?

In 'Kif Gets Knocked Up A Notch' when they are about to be sucked out into space, it appears that Zapp is wearing a toupe, as part of it comes off.

That hair replacement robot was just too creepy to have on the show again, so zapp has to put up with a toupee. (hopefully)

Why does everyone find that robot creepy? He is just employed as a hair replacement delivery boy! Wait I answered my own question!

explosive decompression can do that to regular hair, also excessive nasty-in-the-pasty-ing with alien women...

btw, doesn't Kif do his hair, from Popplers?

Yeah, I guess he does... but can't you also style a toupee (sort of)?

maybe his hair falls off alot, so the hair-replacement-bot replaces his hair a lot, so i think maybe in kif, the hair replacement-bot couldn't make it, so he had to go with a toupee, but in buggalo the bot was there and it was all right.

Maybe loose hair is a side affect of Sexlexia.

KGKUAK is after "Where the Buggalo Roam" so it is possible that Zapp lost his hair in between those episodes.

Just wondering, do they say it's a Kirk joke in the commentary or something?  I live in the U.S., so I don't have the DVD's yet.  But thanks for clearing it up for me!  :)

Maybe the hair has to set for a while or something before it's permanent, and as zapp's such a bad captain, he would lose his hair a lot...

... or at least knock it loose before it sets...
