Anything is possible given enough rolls of the dice but I bet you woke up in the same reality, where you haven't hit the lottery jackpot, as you did yesterday.

You were misreading the statement, it says they bet you woke up in the same universe/reality today, in which, said activity has not happened, ie you have not won anything yesterday, but hey it makes too much sense.

Well they were right... confused

I don't really see how that correlates to my challenge to them to prove that nothing moves faster than light and that they should accept it a possibility that some undiscovered power may.

[edit] Wave velocities and synchronized events
It is possible for the "group velocity" of light to exceed the speed value of c and in an experiment in 2000 laser beams traveled for extremely short distances through caesium atoms with a group velocity of 300 times c.
