I just noticed something weird in "The Cyber House Rules". When Fry is saying how everybody is abnormal in there own way, and how that makes them intresting, the professor points out that Fry has that brain thing as seen in "The Day the Earth Stood Stupid". His brain doesn't generate any brain wave as the other living things on earth do, but in the episode no one remembers what happened because they were stupid, although he tells them. They don't listen and now he suddenly decided to believe him as if he actually listened to him before. I can't make any sense of it.

Actually, Fry didn't learn that he lacks the Delta brain wave until "The Why of Fry" It was Leela who learned this fact in TDTESS, but became too stupid to tell him and then forgot when everything went back to normal. I assume the Professor is simply saying Fry's an idiot and Fry proves his point.

That seems possible. Though Fry knew he could not be effected by the stupidifiction ray in TDTESS. I don't think he knew about his weird brain, but he did know that. But he probably forgot about it.

Yeah, it's just Farnsy saying Fry is stupid. No reference to "The Day the Earth stood Stupid."

Though it could have been put in as a hint/foreshadowing from the writers, it seems like the kind of thing that they would do.

Edit:Whoops, I thought that Cyber House Rules was BEFORE TDTESS... so... um... I mean that they were hinting at The Why of Fry... yeah... that'll do...

But in the end of TDTESS, no one believed Fry. So Farnsworth couldn't have meant that.

I think at the end of TDTESS, no one believed Fry that the whole incident with the Brains and the Niblonians happened, not that Fry's brain is different.  Conceivably the Professor could have figured out that Fry's brain was special without ever knowing about its use against the master brain thingie.

I'll say this as plain as I can. Fry didn't learn about his "special" mind until TWoF. He may have figured out that the ray had no effect on him, but he wouldn't have known why. In TWoF, he believes the reason the ray has no effect is because he's so smart. The Nibblonians laugh at this and explain the real reason.

All that's being said in that segment is that Fry is stupid. To tell the truth, in that moment, they're both acting like idiots. Farnsworth: And Fry, you've got that brain thing. Fry: I already did.

The Professor could have found a better choice of words. Fry's reaction was typical. Fry: People said I was dumb, but I proved them.

Oh, get off your high horse Allen.  ;)

As for the Professor's "brain thing" line, I think it's just meant to be a similar joke to Leela's line in A Bicyclops Built For Two where she says "If it's obvious to you with your learning disability, of course it's obvious to me." That Fry's so dumb everyone thinks there's something wrong with him anyways.

But it's too high! I might fall! :D Regardless, I agree that it was a joke.
