I dunno if anyone else noticed in various Simpsons and Futurama episodes that Matt Groening seems bitter towards Fox for cancelling Futurama. I recognized it in a recent new Simpsons episode when the Comic Guy refuses to sign a petition because "the only petitions he signs are to bring back Sci-Fi shows cancelled before their time"

I dont know if thats exactly what he said, but i have found other similar references.

Any Thoughts?

It's just standard to make fun of the network you're on, I think David Letterman started it. Yes Matt is probably pissed with Fox but he's a professinal, not an 8 year old boy, so he wouldn't let it affect his work. Not to mention the fact that The Simpsons still makes fun of FOX and Groening has little to nothing to do with the show anymore.

im not talking about making fun of FOX, just being bitter. Another scene where he mentions this is when in "where no fan has gone b4" Bender calls Star Trek "Another Science Fiction show cancelled before its time"

Yeah, but that was made and aired before it was cancelled.

Yeah, but when that was made, they saw the signs coming and included that line.

Luckily, they happened to be growing some corn at the exact moment that a nebula formed a new star... and the the rest... isn't history yet.

I'm always right... except for now

I don't think Comic Book Guy actually said Sci-fi shows. I'm pretty sure he said sitcoms.

Now son, the Fox Broadcasting Company has plenty of good quality shows, too.
