It's a reference to Curly from the Three Stooges.

I think the Three Stooges are quite influential in Billy West's work. I've heard it said that some of his voices are inspired by them.

That seems to be a running theme with Billy West.

As you recall he was the voice of Stimpy on Ren & Stimpy, he based that voice on Larry from The 3 Stooges.

Hmm, now to find where he might've used a Moe inspired voice.

Teachers with rulers.
I'm continually amazed at the range of West's voice, but I'm getting good at immediately picking up when he's talking. He's in a lot of shows, too. Realizing it's him.. such as.. in the Cheerios commercials.. always amuses me.

He's....EVERYWHERE, now that I can notice it. John Dimaggio is on Disney, now, on the Kimpossible show (which is crap, but hes good).
Billy West's biggest current stuff, by the way, are Bugs Bunny et. al, and the Red M&M.

He still did it regularly though. Perhaps not AS regularly...

You need to go to sites like
voices.fuzzy.com
And reasearch voice actors, foo.
Some of my favorites are Billy West, Wendee Lee, Maurice LaMarche, Rob Paulsen, Tress MacNeille, Melissa Fahn, Dan Castellanata, Richard Horvitz and Tom Kenny. A good example is Tom Kenny. He is of course Spongebob but also shows up in the wierdest places.. A HUGE number of cartoons, shows like Crank Yankers and movies like ScaryMovie 3. Once you follow a voice actor long enough, you can recognize their voice instantly even if you haven't read anywhere that it's them.

I thought it was the episode where the Simpson's house-sit for Mr Burns. Although that might have been a different Three Stooges skit.

Yes Billy West did do the voice of Doug and Roger Klotz from 1991-1994 on Doug according to TV Tome.com

It is kinda irrelevent to this thread though. Next time put it in the TV section of PEEL.
