Clues of Things to Come...

Greetings All,
   I've been absent from this board far too long (for reasons IRL I'll not bore you with).
   Now that the first-run series is, er... "complete," I've a question for you all.
   In SP3K, we see Nibbler's shadow for a moment as Fry is falls into the cyro-tube. This is later explained in TWOF.
   In AWITM, in a pool of water we momentarily see a two-eyed reflection of Leela. This is built-upon in CR, after Leela encounters Adlai.
   And there are too many more for me to list here.
   My question is, what other hints or clues to later events have the rest of you uncovered in the show? Hmm?
   I'll refine my question further as needed. Meanwhile I'd love to hear what you all might've discovered along these lines.

I think there's another thread on this exact topic. But the appearance of Leelas parents in "I second that emotion" is also another big hint, later used in "Leela's Homeworld"

In "The Cryonic Women" Fry list why the year 300 was better than the year 4000. One of the reason was "..and brains flew through space". In "The Day The Earth Stood Stupid" brains did indeed fly through space. Beat you to it, Nix

In WMIBACIL Zoidberg ask whether disembowling is fatal to humans, beacuse, as we see in "Roswell That Ends Well", it isn't for Decapodians.

Isn't disembowling having your head cut off? Zoidy never had his head cut off.

You're thinking of decapatation. Disembowling is when your intestines are taken out, or at least something very similar to that, I think.

I think it's used to describe when someones insides are brought, well, outside. Not necessarely the intestines. Although, I may very well be wrong.

I mentioned this on a different thread, but in AOI1, Benders exhaust pipe was shown for the first time. And later, in "Crimes of the hot" to be exact, this same exhaust pipe played a huge role. But he couldn't use it to fly in that ep. though.

I think you're trying to force a connection between the pool reflection in AWITM and the events of TCHR.  In my view the pool reflection was just a stand-alone visual gag.

Maybe they got the idea of making TCHR when they did that gag in AWITM.

By the looks of Leela's face in 'The Cyber House Rules' they cut her eye in half, but Adlai only says they made a fake one and grafting with skin from the foot. That would mean that she would have one normal sized one on the size of her face and one giant one still in the middle. Maybe this has been posted before, I don't know.

Yes, there was also an Amazonian in The Lesser Of Two Evils. Still - I don't think the writers decided they were going to give the Amazonians their own episode until AFTER they made appearances on the show, so it's more a callback rather than a hint.

also, in jurassic bark you see frys shadow under the table this time, quite cool, only noticed nibbler shadow the first time, i think you can see that the shadow is blowing
