In A Flight to Remember, Fry says "I haven't had time off since I was 21 to 24!"

But in Jurassic Bark, Fry is working at Pannuci's Pizza in 1997.

I think it is agreed he is 25 in Space Pilot 3000, right? Fry would have been either 22 or 23 in 1997, depending on when his birthday is. So, Fry is either mistaken (entirely possible) or he isn't 25 after all.

Yeah, it's a tiny nitpick, but hey... I'm bored.  :D

Leela mention Fry's age (25) in "My Three Suns", so that's pretty solid.

Even though you have a job, you can still have time off, just have to get approval from your boss. An explanation could be that Farnsworth have been working his crew 28 hours every day, and this is the first vacation they get.

Or Fry's job as a pizza delivery boy really wasn't that demanding.  ;)

I took it to mean that he was unemployed during that time; I think that's what the joke was supposed to mean. I guess it was just an oversight on the part of the writers  :)

Yeah, that was what they meant. I'm just having fun coming up with reasonable explanations for these small nits. And if I can't find a reasonable explanation, I'll make one up.

I also just realized that Bender is 40% Zinc, 40% Titanium, and 40% Dolomite.

And that's only the ones I remember...  :D

I think that is what makes him great. That is one of the few, elusive, deliberate goofs

Well, yes. But we're ignoring the frozen time because he was basically in suspended animation and didn't gain any physical/mental maturity.

And he's also 30% zinc, too.

Also - that "I haven't had time off since I was 21 to 24!" joke might be LITERAL. I mean, Fry could have began working at Pannuchi's when he had just turned 21, and Mr. Pannuchi could have been so uptight that he didn't let Fry have time off whatsoever. And don't say that's ridiculous - after all, he DID force Fry to work at midnight on December 31, 1999.

I think Fry was 25 when the show began.  In the episode where Bender gets a gender change operation, it said they were at the 3004 Olympics.
My guess is Fry is 28 or 29 when the series ended.  I've always thought Leela was the same age as Fry.

40% zinc, 40% titanium, 40% dolomite, 30% iron and a 0.02% nickel impurity (and it's been done to death, so there you have it  ;)).

@ KurtPikachu2001 - I think there's a general consensus that Leela is a bit older than Fry, but if you want some idea, then this bit from LLLiS:

Leela: "I don't wanna die at the age of 25!"
Bender: "Honey, unless we hit a time warp, I wouldn't worry about it!"

should clarify.  Bender at least believes that Leela is older than Fry is.  :)

I have just watched the poilot episode and although i am too computer illerate to post thye framegrab, it looks like, in ver very very small writing, Leela types in Fry's age on her computer as 24, when she is about to assign him a job. Maybe someone could post the grab and confirm this.
Sorry to bring this topic up again.....

In fact, in The Cryonic Woman he says he didn't go to school:

Michelle: "There was going to be a search, but your parents said it would be a waste of taxpayer's money."
Fry: "Yeah, that's the same reason they kept me out of school."

Fry was borned July 13 1975. You can see that if you read the script for the pilot on the DVD. Or if it was in the animatic. ...or both.

No, Fry is 25 at the start. I freeze-framed the scene where Leela is typing in Fry's age, and 25 is what the computer said.

Well, when is Fry's birthday? because some people pointed out (accurately) that the computer in SP3K said he was 24, but then again, he was unfrozen in 2999, not 3000 exact, meaning he could have been 24 when the series started. And i think according to the Fox official site, Leela's 28. Whether or not to count the ep where everyone rejuvenated with chronoton-riddled tar is up to you.

Interesting. 13 being an unlucky number and 7 being a lucky number.

Kind of fits for Fry I guess  :)

Yeah, that would imply Leela is older than 25 in LLLiS, since Fry is 25 in that same episode, Leela is older than Fry. Probably not by much though.

It doesn't necessarily mean that Leela was lying about her age though.  Bender would say that whether it was true or not, just to be mean.

Yeah, but why should Leela care if it's simply not true? And if the victim doesn't care being mean is a waste of time.

i'm completely positive Leela was 25 when she made that statement. And the reason she would care that Bender made that comment is that he's insinuating that she looks older then 25 which is something every woman is afraid of. The insult isn't that Bender actually believes she's lying about her age, the insult is how old she looks

Shouldn't she be more insulted if it's not true?  Then he's calling her old and a liar, when she isn't either one.

On the back of the Norwegian edition of the Futurama season 1 DVD box, it says that Fry is a 25 year old deliveryboy. Does it do that on yer boxes?
