Have you noticed how sometimes when someone says a line, in the next episode there's a partial echo of it?

How Hermes requisitioned his groove back:
Bender: I am Bender. Please insert girder.

*one episode later*

The deep south:
Bender: What's that sound? Is someone bending girders?

Also...

Bender should not be allowed on TV:
Bender: Have you ever thought of sitting down with your kids and just hitting them?

*one episode later*

The devil's hands are idle playthings:
Bender: He's pretty good. How hard did you say you had to hit him?

Allow me to sink your observation at the first attempt.

In the production order, "The Devil's Hands..." doesn't follow "Bender Should Not Be Allowed On TV".  The similar lines are just a coincidence.

No. It was going to be DHAIP and then BSNBAOTV. They are still next to each other.

"BSNBAOTV" was the 6th episode produced in Season 4.
"The Devil's Hands..." was the 18th episode produced in Season 4.

"The Devil's Hands..." was the last episode, in both production and airing orders.  DXC said it was the final episode of Season 4.

So exactly how is "BSNBAOTV" supposed to follow it?

uhh... the only thing here is that episodes are going to have similar jokes, they are all written by a small (comparatively) group of people...
the fact that u've found 2 (1?) examples isnt a big deal
also, it was very hard to follow this conversation with 2 similar avatars

You know what's really crazy?  The Professor says "oh my no/yes" so many times, and Bender's always talking about biting his ass.  What's the deal with that?

If you think that's weird - check out the opening credits. Although the clip on the TV changes every time, the names that come up on it remain the same in every episode!

Leelaholic you continue to disappoint me, this is a stupid theory with atrocious examples, ooh, a mention of girders, great link, sends a chill down the spine at all the inside jokes I might be missing.
