"Ask" Moments

Has anybody ever noticed when someone's said "ask" instead of "axe" on the show? I noticed the other day when I watched The Farnsworth Parabox, the Professor (I don't know which one) said: "Oh, let's all stand around asking eachother! That'll help!" It would have been even more funny if he said "axing"...

They dropped that whole idea a pretty long time ago... i dont think anyone has said "aks" since about the end of season 2.

Leela seems the most consitent with it.  The other characters seem to say axe or ask randomly.

Hmm... Probably a coincidence, but maybe it's because she brought it up in the first place... Maybe...

Fry says 'Ask' since he is used to it, Amy is Chinise/Martian and 'Ask' might be the same, Bender might not have been upgraded when the started saying 'Axe', but occasionally says it to be popular, The Professor can't remember a thing, and Zoidberg probably just says it to fit in. Leela often says 'Axe' and Hermes I haven't the slightest. And all the other characters have speech inpediments(sp?).

Well, that's just my terrible idea.

I don't think some of the writers remember the "axe" joke, because they kept trading off which one wrote which episode.
