When they are headed to Old New York, Bender, Fry and Leela approach a manhole cover.  On the cover are a persons face, and "PJ's".

It's gotta be a gag, but I don't get it....

It's a reference to The PJs, another animated show on Fox.  The logo appeared on a manhole cover in the show itself.

The PJs manhole cover also appears in "I Second that Emotion."
