Did I miss it, or did this scene disappear?

Ever since the day I saw "Fry and the Slurm Factory" for the first time I wanted it on DVD so I could watch it over and over again, and one scene in particular.  The scene is set in a spaceship and Fry and Bender are talking and Fry says he wishes they were at the Slurm factory right then because he'd "be all like..."  and then he proceeds to pretend he is opening a series of Slurm cans and chugging them.  This scene was in the episode the first time it aired, but on subsequent showings it was gone.  It also is not on the DVD.  I thought maybe I didn't remember the story right and I watched every episode to make sure, and sure enough, I didn't find it.  Were the deleted scenes that are on the DVD ever aired and then removed like the scene I'm talking about, or were they never shown on TV?  Does anyone know why this one is gone or where I can see it again?  Does anyone remember how hilarious it was?

Season 2, Episode 2: Brannigan Begin Again.

And they're not Slurm cans, they're pancakes.

I just watched BBA and the deleted scenes and it isn't in that episode.  Also, while it has been years since I saw it, I am positive it was Slurm cans.

If you're that sure the pancakes scene in BBA wasn't the scene you're thinking of, I'd assume you dreamt it and thought it was real.

I'd remember something like that. I taped the first airing of Fry and the Slurm Factory and watched it over and over for about a week, but I don't remember that scene ever being in there. I can't double-check since I lost the tape, but I honestly think you're just a bit confused about this.

I thought it was slurm cans too.
I don't remember every single second of each episodes, and that's great because I can enjoy them every time I watch'em.

I agree with everyone else that you were thinking of Brannigan Begin Again. I think there was another episode with Fry making eating noises but I can't think of it off the top of my head. There is no scene like the one you described in the 1ACV13 capsule.

The problem with some of you thinking that I am thinkning of some kind of pancake dialogue in BBA and I have watched that episode more than 3 times now along with the commentary and deleted scenes, and I have yet to even see the part you are talking about.  Also, I have confirmation from my girlfriend and best friend that the scene I am thinking of was from "Fry and the Slurm Factory" and most definitely Slurm cans.  I used to do an impression of what Fry does and they remember it because it was so hilarious.  So if there is anyone who can help, I just want to know what happened to this scene and if anyone has it.

Smitty - That was just the address I got when I searched for Futurama transcripts on google.  I recognized the name as the site I was thinking of, and I copied and pasted it.  I said that was the site where most transcripts are, not that exact page.

Fry does make eating noises in Fry and the Slurm Factory, when he is trying to gnaw his arms off to get through the grate.

When they're about to attack the Neutral Planet, Fry says to Bender something to the effect of "We're going to be like pshewww and they're gonna be all [exploding noise] and we'll have pancakes to celebrate and I'll be like [imitates eating pancakes]."

Details, details. I remember stuff wrong all the time. Maybe you saw the ep, forgot it was pancakes and just assumed it was Slurm cans. The confirmation of your impression wouldn't mean anything, because you probably had the impression wrong. You also mentioned wanting to see this scene over and over again, so I assume you haven't seen the first airing more than once, which just helps prove my theory that you remembered it wrong.

I apologize if I've offended or patronized you, that's not my goal. I'm just trying to sort this all out.

I had a quick look at "Brannigan Begin Again" last night (low quality .rm file) and the pancake thing was definately there.

I'm not sure it's the kind of gag they'd do more than once though. It'd kind of ruin it a bit I think. Maybe not, I dunno.

Anyway, perhaps I could check my videos for that episode or look for the video file I downloaded off the net as I downloaded it when it was new so that should be the first airing of it.

Man, I think I remember this, too.  First Fry says, "Man, I'm gonna drink so much Slurm..." or something like that.  Then he mimes drinking it.  I'll watch the episode today, I have it on DVD and taped off CN.  At least that line has got to be in it.

Yeah I finally caught the pancake part in "Brannigan, Begin Again" and that is exactly what happens in the scene I am thinking of, but do you notice how quick it happens, like it's just a nod to a similar happening in another episode?  That's because it is.  Now that I saw the part in BBA I know the part I am thinking of happened in "Fry and the Slurm Factory" and that in the scene it was just Fry and Bender talking on the Planet Express ship and then he does his thing and then Leela comes into the room and says something.  It was an epic, hilarious joke that you talk about for months, not a little couple-second-long thing.  It was along the lines of a scene in the episode of Family Guy called "Wasted Talent" (which amazingly is also mocking Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory) where after finding the last ticket, Peter runs all the way home.  He runs through the whole town only to trip and fall right when he reaches his house.  Upon recovery, he sits up and keeps moaning in pain over and over again.  If you've seen it, you know how hard you laughed at it.  But let's say I was just imagining the Slurm scene altogether, well the part in BBA is too short to be memorable and not very funny at all...  unless you saw it the first time just a couple episodes earlier and you are in on the gag.

I taped the first airing and watched it a couple times, and if this was an epic joke I probably would've remembered it. But if you're that sure of the scene being in Slurm Factory, I'll take your word for it.
