Oh my god you're right! 2 whole frames! How could the animators miss that?

You really have to freeze it to see it though. She looks like a fish, it's pretty funny.

Let's face it, would you really want a nose if you were just about the smell there? It's hard to blame her really...

Anyway, I've seen Time Keeps on Slippin' twice in the last week, and both times I noticed that the animation is really, really choppy when Farnsworth unviels his doomsday devices.

I think I actually found something new. In The Lesser of Two Evils, freezeframe at the part when the jellyfish-headed alien is doing the gangsta rap. Near the end of the sequence, when Bender and Flexo break through the wall, her tentacle/arm dissapears for a few frames, and then comes back for a couple before she runs off-screen.

Well duh! Every animated show has bad animation in the first season, but by #2 (if it last that long) it's all fine.

Lesser of Two Evils is Season 2. It last plenty long, yet there are errors right up to the end... In the second last shot of TDHAIP, when Fry's lookin' over his shoulder, I swear his eyes are off kilter... it's a real mood-killer actually. :hmph:

Most of the episodes by season 2 are animated well.

That picture reminds me of a big ball of garbage when there on the garbage ball and fry screams it looks very slopy.   :hmpf:

I just made that picture the wallpaper for my computer

That is really freaky. The way Fry looked. Oh more nightmares! Why does terrible animation have to be so scary? WHY!!!

I don't watch those anymore. BUt if anyone mentions clay animation I'll freak out like I do with spiders! I look like Fry in that pic when I am in contact with those two things.

One scene i just watched was in "the Deep South" when the ship is being pulled under the water. The charaters of top and the ship look really crappy and grainy.

Is that not more the quality of the picture rather than the actual animation?

For the lazy  http://www.gotfuturama.com/cgi-bin/imageview.cgi?/Multimedia/FrameGrabs/3ACV15/Grabs/pic00433.jpg

That is a bit odd, but you've taken it out of context. That's only on screen for one frame, it could be as the characters are passing out of shot...

You know, guys, animation is designed to be viewed at 24 (or 30? some say) frames per second, like film, not frame by frame.  The in-betweening stuff that looks weird was either an accident, or was done because at the normal frame rate it looked fine.  Of course, that doesn't stop Amy and Leela from looking really silly without noses....

I can't believe no one else mentioned this...
in Brannigan Begin Again, when Zapp is leaving the courtroom crying, there's a shot of Kiff, and he's drawn terribly and his color is off, too.

Everyone seems to have this thing with noses- I have come to the conclusion that in the future that people have learnt and evolved to be able to retract their noses in emergency situations such as Dr Zoidberg pulling in Leela to smell his stink gland   :p What do you think?

With weird possible deadly smelling aliens its logical right...
