Like a wolf!
This has a few problems.
They have wheels in the year 3000.
Look at benders small head car and Leela`s go-kart.

Perhaps the same wizard that was behind the incredible changing atmosphere in southern CA?

He's talking about how Bender said "round rubber feet", like he didn't know what wheels were, even though wheels have been previously established in the Futurama universe.

I've seen a few people on the newsgroup and the Outlet complain about this, and how it's bad continuity. I guess it is, but it's funny and it makes the Werecar sound more mysterious and horror-ey, so really who cares.

Yeah. Anything can happen in a cartoon. Especially Futurama.

I know the answer of all your questions:

Fry "invented" the weel in "Mothers Day".
Bender maybe didn't care and forgot about it... or he never saw it...
Leelas go-cart was just a fiction of the what-if-machine and benders little car... ok... no idea!  ;)

Besides, if you'd look closely, you'd notice that the wheels on Leela's Bendermobile were made from his arms and legs.  Not sure what that has to do with anything, but I felt it needed to be pointed out.

*wonders what that last comment has to do with the discussion about benders ignorance to wheels*

hm... after long studies i came to a conclusion:

Maybe the order of the episode isn't 100% right.
Bender saw the werecar. No wheels existed at that time.
Now Fry built the wheel in "Mothers Day" and all the people copied him...

ok, to change the episodes order is a bit vage... but it helps to find a conclusion   :p

Since wheels aren't used as much, they may tend to forget what they are, such as record players in our time.
