but he's at least 5 years older then Fry and Leela. in Insane in the mainframe they rewarded zoidburg for 10 years of service which makes him at least 30 and thats assuming he came to work for planet express right after he left his home planet at around 20. And more then likely he did other things before finding PE so he could be anywhere between 30 and 45ish.

Hence why the "percentage, rather than absolute years"-theory works fine. In the end they've all 100% younger.

We don't really know how long Zoidy's species spend in their larva stages. For all we know the larva stages could make up anything between 0 and 90% of his entire lifetime.

That hasn't been said yet.

@venus: You should not judge Zoidberg age by human standards. Therefore determing that he has been 20 years old when he started working isn't really a good approach.
Just think of Bender. He is just five years old by now.
(Or take a Jem'Hadar. These guys needed only a few days until they were "adults" )

I noticed another kind of mistake in this episode too  :)
When the crew had gotten really really young and had reverted back into foetus' in the amniotic sack, Bender also reverted back to a disk. However, before he turns into a disk he's a box. Now when the Professor has them all in his arms and steps into the fountain of ageing, we see Fry, Hermes and Amy change from the amniotic sack to being babys. But we see Bender change from a disk to a baby Bender. He should have chnged to a box and then into a baby Bender  :)

Yeah, well, uh....Fry, Hermes, and Amy all have some shreds of clothing on when they escape the fountain, but they were born naked! How about that!

Don't forget that a couple times the Professor's clothes actually age back and forth with him.

Maybe so, but that might be something like the faintain of aging corisponds the characters to their trends during their ages. They don't walk around naked in the middle of the street when they're teenagers. And as GM said, they stil went through all their pysical stages, except for Bender  :)

^ Exactly ^  :)

I was basically just referrring to the stages they went through really. And Bender still skipped one of his stages  :)

One thing that bothered me about Zoidberg: in "That's Lobstertainment", there was a flashback scene of Zoidberg as a child. "Sure, you can be a comedian, IF YOU WANT YOUR PARENTS TO ROLL OVER IN THEIR GRAVES!" In that scene, he looked just like he does in his "adult" stage, only smaller. Oh, and I would say that he is about 45-ish by human standards. "You don't wan to end up old and lonely like ZOIDBERG!"
And, of course, everything that had to do with Bender in this episode was completely irrational, but I suppose they can be forgiven for that.

-> Bendless Love
Bender is built.

But then again there is the Professor's "explanation" why Bender got younger as well.

sorry for bumping this up, but I didn't know where else to put it. It's just that I finally got the fourth season on dvd and I noticed something about this episode. The professor didn't age since ACOMO, as it appears, but he should be a little bit older after TKOS, as well as the rest of the crew. Theory: Could it be that the writers did not exactly like that episode, or why is it they avoided that problem?   :D
