If this has been discussed just ignore me.
In Jurassic Bark when Fry delivers the pizza and gets frozen there is one of nibblers species in trashcan. They know that Fry is the one person who can fight against brains so it would seem that they set up Fry and caused him to be frozen to 1000 years. Im not sure does the head show up in space pilot, have to check that up when I get my codecs to work properly.

Just keep your eyes open, when Fry tumbles into the freezerdoodle, and you'll see the shadow. It's actually quite obvious, when you know what to look for.
