A quick question for those who have seen this episode:

The Worm capital in Fry's Bowel seems to be constructed partially of forks and knives...is there something to this I'm missing? Is the joke the suggestion that Fry's bowel has a few stray items in it?

This has been bugging me for a while now

I just checked, and u were right! I'd never noticed that before! The capital building is a serated blade too! lol

Hmm, other than suggesting he eats his cutlery I cant see any other joke. Prehaps the season3 dvd commentary will have the answers u are after

The worms had the part of the pipe that was inside Fry, maybe they used it to build those spoon, fork and knifes buildings. It's probably a fashion thing (they are aware of their heritage as food parasites), or a psychotic architect.

But the eating-of-utensil theory is plausible too.

wouldn't the consumption of knives be fatal?

Maybe the forks and kives were dull.  Still makes no sense on why he would eat them (but this is Fry after all)

There is a mental disorder, (or possibly from just a lack of Iron in your diet), where people eat strange objects -- pens, needles, knives, forks, money, you name it (I think it is called Pica).  They don't die but they usually need to get the objects removed.  On tv I saw someone who had about 500 needles in her stomach, along with a few eating utensils.

^I've read about something like that.  The person would not stop eating coins, thumbtacks and other small metallic objects.  After repeated visits to the hospital, the doctors said they were concerned about permanent damage to the digestive track.  They mentioned something about Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.  Thats fucked up.

the utensils are paramount to the worms continuing to live.  without them fry couldnt eat.  (yes he could be a pig and eat with his hands, but they couldnt decorate the castle with hands).  They are paying tribute to the tools that bring food into their lair.

One thing I've been wondering: those guns used by the worms, is that a reference to something? And what are they firing? Plates? AOL discs?

*Is very pissed*  I looked on my Satellite guide @ tomorrow's episode which is *supposed* to be "Parasites Lost" and guess what?  They're SKIPPING to the next episode!  Just like they did with "I, Roomate"!  >:|  Just thought I'd bring that up since we're all on the subject.  I haven't seen this episode yet and I *really* want to... *Snifflez*

They're going in production order, not airing order.

You mean the 'actual' order. When is mArc going to set production or 'seasons that arent not seasons, and actually exsist, as apposed to SHLOX's airing shedule, which is fake and doesn't exsist' as apposed to 'fake seasons which are made up cardboard cut outs that are so far from canon it makes me ill, so ill i barfed in a cup and drnk it' on the episode guides? You COULD argue that it's for people that want to see what episodes are showing, but seasons one through THREE are inexcusable. Season 5 doesn't exsist, and by extension, a large majority of SHLOX's season 3 doesn't exsist. ph33r.
