I admit, i perhaps get 50% of the allusions in Futurama. Most of them seem to refer to american celebrities or so... and those i often don't know =(

So let's then put all allusions in one thread, shell we?  :) If this works, this could become a very long thread.

So let's start with allusions in "Space Pilot 3000[/u]"

The game in the very first sequence is obvious R-Type.

Another word for reference. In this case external references in Futurama.

I thought you were British Fred.  :p

@Fred: oh my... look it up in a dictionary, or be lazy and let quote me from the Oxford Dictionary

al-lu-sion (to sb/sth) a brief or indirect reference.

For example, the Game Fry is playing, is an allusion to the really existing R-Type-Videogame...

thank you Helpy, i wanted to make it VERY clear     :D

And the ape at the end is a very thinly-veiled Donkey Kong.

I think we all can safely conclude that it didn't work.

Besides most references are already in the capsules, also on CGEF (when it's back up again).

While we're at it, why don't we list every kind of life form on Earth?
