first episode

There's probably already been a topic posted about this, but, here goes...

In the first episode when fry is frozen, and we see the events through the window,how come when the aliens come along and shoot down all the buildings, the Cryonics lab where Fry is being frozen doesn't get destroyed?

Maybe the aliens only fired at buildings where human life was detected and since Fry was frozen he wouldn't register any life signs.

why would they abandon a building where people are frozen and need constant attention? although, that wizard theory is starting to look convincing...

It doesnt look like people in cryogenic stasis need much attention.

well what about machine maintenance? if the machines were left unnatended, they would gradually deteriorate and break down, thus killing teh inhabitants.
