Awwwww man, I just knew they wouldn't air the season "finale" on Xmas day. Dammit.

Well yeah, of course not, since they only broadcast mainstream stuff that day (as much as we like it, Futurama isn't mainstream). It doesn't really matter though, since they'll show it eventually.

I hope so, I wouldn't put it past Channel 4 to air the remaining (one?) episode late one night without telling us. They did that with the last few eps of Season 2.

Did they?? Ah, right, that makes sense...
I thought they stopped showing season 2 in its normal slot after 11th September 2001, but I didn't notice them being shown late-night.

Can you tell me any more about this, e.g. what kind of time they were on / whether they were cut?

The episodes should have been:
The Deep South
Mother's Day
The Problem With Popplers
Anthology of Interest I

Well, I never caught on that it had anything to do with 9/11, I had thought Season 2 stopped a while before that. As far as I know, the 4 episodes you mentioned were shown at various times, AOI 1 was certainly shown about a year ago one sunday afternoon.

They showed them at 8:30 in the morning during the holidays. I only saw Deep South and Popplers though.

This looks like a good place to post this. Channel 4 will be repeating season 3 every day starting Monday 6th January. And the good news is its on at 7am! There should be some good cuts in that!

Well, I dunno... the version C4 shows first  tends to be the one they show all the time after that. We'll have to wait and see.

I for one won't be watching the Season 3 reruns. I'd rather not so that when I get the DVD they will still seem "new". I have to wonder when Channel 4 are going to show "I dated a Robot" as this is the only episode from production season 3 left to air. Hopefully they won't just air it at the end of the reruns.

I'd rathersee it next week or the week after instead of having to wait. It seemsChannel 4 are *always* showing Friends.

All I know is that Channel 4 are not showing "I Dated a Robot" on the 8th January. Friends is on.

Tough luck suckers channel 7 doesn't get cuts and for those of you who stay up and watch ha foxtel airs it at 6:30. But if channel 7 decides to show season 5 before foxtel you'll defenitly see me crawling back to that channel.  :hmpf:

I actually like Friends, but Channel 4 have repeated every episode so many times!! Just air the last episode of this season of Futurama first!

Well, I know I shouldn't, but I find it more interesting with the cuts - it's strange to see what Channel 4 and Sky One will and won't show (I mean, the UK's the most-censored country in the world, apart from those countries whose governments censor bad stuff about them. Wait, we are one of those countries!).
Plus, if you want to you can still find out what happened on the internet.

The Deep South & Popplers were shwn on C4 at 8:30AM around Easter time, during and a little after the school holidays. Mother's Day may have been on aswell, but I think I missed that. AOI1 I am fairly sure was NOT shown with this slot, but again I may be wrong. I did see it on a Sunday afternoon though ages and ages ago.

TDS was cut up pretty badly, Popplers didn't look quite so bad though.

Some shows are cut if they are shown in a different time slot to the country they are made in, network TV here shows things after 9pm that wouldn't be allowed on the US networks at anytime.

True, but maybe that says more about the US networks than anything. I guess it's how good the programmes are that counts more.

This might be the appropriate place to say this. I called Channel 4 this morning and the nice woman said "I Dated A Robot" isn't scheduled at all for the near future.
She said she didn't know why but it might be because the episode might feature some "humour which isn't tasteful such as animation of planes crashing into tall buildings" but whatever the reason, it is not scheduled for any Wednesday evening in the near future.

This could well mean we are either getting it shoved in a free time slot like sunday night at 12am or we will have to wait until Friday the 24th at 7am.

Holy crap! Haven't they ever seen the opening credits before? The PX ship crashes every time there, and C4 showed that on the 11th of September just hours after the WTC attack! Oh, dear.
Not having seen IDAR recently, when does a plane crash into a building?

The woman didn't actually say it was going to be on at 7. She just said it wsn't scheduled for any Wednesday evening which means it might end up being shoved on the end of the repeats.

Another one for When Aliens Attack on C4 is in the briefing before the battle...

Zapp: You're a brave robot, son, but when I'm in command every mission's a suicide mission! [Here it cuts straight to the battle] Which reminds me...Leela, perhaps before we head into battle you'd like to make love to me in case one of us doesn't come back.

Leela: Maybe we should wait until afterwards in case neither of us comes back.

Zapp: Here's hoping. [He salutes]

Well last night I saw an add on C4 for their showing of the Austin Powers film, "The Spy Who BLEEP! Me. The add was on later at night than they were gonna show the film!

In other news Futurama is on Saturdays. At 1:30 in the morning... Oh, how very convinient.

I bet they got complaints about saying 'shagged' in an advert for an Austin Powers film, at the 'family' hour of 10pm! so bleeped it as a token gesture to the people that complained.

So when and where's it on at 1.30am Guy?
