Ok, now, the tapestry is different because it's made of shiny silk. When light shines on it, it reflects an image of itself across the room. All it has to do is bounce off a few mirrors, and woila.

The different faces on the bills are also easy to explain. You see, Tricky Dick Fun Bills are collecter's items, so Fry traded it in for real money. He made a profit of one dollar, which explains why he had one dollar left over after he paid.

Also, this is not really a goof, but I'd thought I'd post it anyway.

See anybody... Vulcan-like in the background?

Speaking of 'Star Trek', this grab is almost insulting...

Hmm?  ;)

Not entirely sure what's supposed to be insulting. I think it's a rather fitting tributy to DeForest Kelly and his most famous role. I mean, the characters nickname is 'Veins' for a reason.

I'm trouble now...

No, I love how they included 'Veins' (  :laff: ) as a tribute! But doesn't anyone think that he looks... Not very well?

They did a much better job here.

I mean, as you can see, De and 'Veins' hardly look similar! (They had to make DeForest look more like himself, but did they have make 'Veins' look so old and grouchy?)

But then again, I'm picky about those things. Sorry if I offended anyone.

PS: I noticed something. See those things on the wall?

Yes, they did.  ;)

You see, Zapp is a highly exaggerated version of William Shatner/Kirk...he's uber-libidinous and uber-ego'd.  In a similar vein (sorry), Veins is a highly exaggeraged version of Bones McCoy...so he's uber-grouchy and uber-craggy-faced.

Q.E.D.!

And remember, Melvar gave the actors back their youth, so they look like they did on the original series, so of course De has fewer wrinkles, just as George has his toned abs back, etc. (And on a side note...I caught a real early episode, "Where No Man Has Gone Before," a couple months ago, and suddenly understood why Leela ended up snogging Shatner...he was a babe back then.    )

Mmmm, not to be harsh but I think you're thinking too much. Wet willies, screaming moist, low alcohol level? Since your capture is sans pointy ears and angled eyebrows I'd say if they were sneaking one in it would look a bit more like the below. Especially the ears.

Even if you compare it to the young version of Nimoy seen in WNFHGB, there are several differences. Primarily that Nimoy have one honking big nose and larger ears than this guy.

As for Kelley: He did look pretty damn crouchy and old in "The Undiscovered Country", observe:

Kif, obviously. They talked about it in a DVD commentary or other I just can't remember what they said just now, curse my poor memory. If I remember/find what they said I'll edit this post.

Also from Wikipedia:

"In an early interview, show creator Matt Groening claimed that the inspiration for Kif partly came from Star Trek's Mr Spock, with the important difference that this version of Spock would detest his captain."

It was Star Trek's second pilot, of course it was an early episode.

Apologies if this has already been posted, but in 'Why Must I Be A Crustacean In Love', when Zoidberg cuts Frys arm off, shouldnt the blood soak through his T-shirt, especially if its white...

Well, Hookerbot, Zoidberg cut his arm Below the sleeve of his shirt, so it was possible that the little squirt that is seen would not get on his sleeve. As for the mountains of blood that should have poured onto the rest of his clothes, well, the writers have to keep this PG14 rating, so all that gore would have been unaccaptable. In the commentary you will hear that the writers were debating on whether to have any blood at all.

Excuse me if someone else has pointed this out, but in the X-Mas Story episode, when they are saying that they are going to cut down an Xmas tree, if you look outside the window there are pine trees everywhere.  The trees that Leela says "Trees down!" to earlier were also evergreens.  Yet Farnsworth then says to have no idea what Fry is talking about when they chop down a palm tree.

Going back to that point that HookerBot5000 made about blood on the shirt and such, I can understand why blood shouldn't be on the shirt when Zoidberg actually snips it off but when he ties the shirt over the wound it should had soaked through....(see framegrab below)

Well maybe his self-inscest mutation wasn't just his lack of a delta brain wave. Maybe he also has a shitload of platelets that are normally folded up all tiny, but upon exposure to chiton they become full sized and stop most bleeding. That, coupled with the fact that his new future-shirt is is water and other liquid proof kept what little dribbles of blood were left from soaking through.

Actually, no, he probably did, but then again, if you have a clean cut, then its more likely that you have lots more blood than a raggedy cut...and I spose Zoidbergs claws are kinda raggedy...:S

No. They're real. Pine trees actually do fold up and lie down when you say "Trees down" in the middle of a pine forest. If they fail to obey you it's because you're not saying it loud enough.

The Earthician government thinks she's an alien. And unlike mutants, she pays taxes, so they have no real incentive to get rid of her. To do so would be a waste of time, money, and resources. Not that that's ever stopped the Earthician government before, but still...

Oh, and if you don't buy that, think this: Leela has 'connections' with Space Hero TM Zapp Brannigan. Laws? What the heck are they?
