+++From "Mars University", how is Fry able to afford admission?+++
Fry's got a relative in the University, and is also a friend of the Wongs, who own an entire fraternity (at least!). He probably just pulled some strings to get in...
+++bender has red hair. I know that there's a big difference between a robot and a human but they could have made bender at least the same hair color.+++ For one, it's rust... for another, human facial hair doesn't always match the hair on the head. Eyebrows are the most common example, in some people they're a totally different colour to that on their head. I know of at least two men who with red beards that didn't match their hair at ALL.
+++in Hell is Other Robots Leela and Fry used Nibbler to find Bender, but Nibbler disappeared after leela and Fry entered Robot Hell. +++ This was picked up in the DVD commentary, but they didn't really explain it.
+++What about Crimes of the Hot's Wet Chassis Contest? Those robots were sparkin and floppin around!+++ Robot cosmetic surgery. It's considered sexy (for whatever reason), so female robots undergo a procedure to remove their water-proofing. It's an unusual, stupid and dangerous practice, which of course fits in with cosmetic surgery perfectly.
+++I do think that Fry is the only way 'the gang' could have got together. Without him Bender would be dead.+++ Actually, when you think about it, would the slow and painful option on a Suicide Booth actually kill Bender? It mostly had flesh-penetrating armourments, like knifes and saws... Would they even by able to cut through him? I've never thought that Bender actually intended to kill himself, he seemed to be committing 'suicide' for something to do, really. He even steals from the booth, which would be useless if he died with the money in his hand anyway!

In Spanish Fry, when the park ranger places an ad for his exercycle, his green arm-patch thingy is on his right arm. When he goes back to address everyone, it's on his left arm.

Also wouldn't everything there at least disintergrate a bit and rust after 1000 years. 3) In second my emotion: bender goes in to the toilets 2 flush nibbler down, wen Leela comes in and he says ' Can't you see im using it' Then wen he was on the table Leela asks 'how could u flush nibbler down ' he replys by saying 'first i lifted the lid thats the first annoying thing, am i right men' but bender dosn't need 2 use it cause he is a robot. Then wen he was trying 2 flush himself down he then says ' why did the humans design this thing anyway'
1. sorry, i misread that at first. Hmm, I think there is still a washington dc as well as washington ac. And New New Jersey is wrong. 2. that's a good point, i wonder where the medieval ruins are. 3. do you mean he could flush nibbler down the toilet without lifting the lid? and as for the rest, well that's humour.

+++OK here's one: if Star Trek is banned, and even mentioning it sets off alarms, then why was it mentioned in other episodes?+++
+++ Like, Hermes compares DOOP to the Federation in "Brannigan Begin Again". +++ I haven't seen this, so can't comment... how direct was it?
+++ And in "Space Pilot 3000" Fry asks Leonard Nimoy to do the "live long & prosper" sign. +++ It's worth noting that he comes close, but never managed, an overt Star Trek reference in this episode. Fry in the sliding door: 'It's just like Star Tre-' *door slams on head* There's no confirmation that Leonard Nimoy has any idea what the hand thing is, it's quite possible he thinks Fry is a lunatic or taking the mickey (after all, asking a head to do a hand gesture is just mean and stupid!)
Alternatively...
+++But in "Where no Fan Has Gone Before" Nimoy claims he has never heard of Star Trek. +++ Wouldn't you? He'd want people to forget it, as he'd be rather notorious for it if it was well-known he was one of its stars... and he's certainly refuse to do the hand gesture for 1000 years, if it made him notoriously associated with a banned program, in addition to how boring it would get.

What happened to "script logic"? Anyway, the Universe isn't a static place. Everything moves around at tremendeous speeds; galaxies, stars, planets, etc. Usually away from other bodies. Omicron Persei might be moving away from Sol, so even though it's 1000 LY away today, it's a couple of lightmonths further away by the year 3000.

Before Where No Fan Has Gone Before, Star Trek had been mentioned before without consequence.
Now here's my take. In Roswell That Ends Well, I believe they changed the future. In the original future, Fry was still his own grandfather, otherwise he wouldn't have had the brain irregularity in The Day the Earth Stood Stupid. But, i don't think Enos was supposed to die. It seems like if Fry knew enough about his grandfather to know that he was stationed at Roswell at that time, he would have remembered if he had died at the same time. Enos was supposed to marry Muriel, but not concieve children. When the professor found out Fry had killed Enos he went haywire and "screwed history". Had Fry not killed his fake grandfather the professor would have found another way to get the radar dish. The attack by the planet express crew on the base made Roswell a much bigger deal than in our time/the Original Future. Thus, there was more interest in science fiction, especially Star Trek. So in the future they returned to Star Trek was outlawed. And contrary to traditional science fiction temporal law #27 (That any involved in the time travel remember the original time), the crew's memories were changed to reflect the new time. And that's my poorly written explanation.

One more thing, not really a goof, but interesting none the less.
In the Pilot Episode, the man in the "You Gotta Do What You Gotta Do" poster beind Leela has 4 fingers and a thumb. I used to think this was a mistake. But if you look in the animatic/storyboard for that scene, the same guy has the normal 3 fingers and a thumb. So, at some point it was purposely changed to the wrong number. In my opinion this is the first hint that Leela is a mutant. (Obviously, someone with 5 digits would be a horrible freak in the cartoon universe) Just my 2.5¢

Dmitri, you make a good point about the Rosell/Star Trek thing. Before, everyone just accepted that whenever they mentioned Star Trek, it was in private so there were no consequenses(sp). However, I disagree with your "mutant" theory. It seems more like someone screwed up and gave him 5 fingers. Besides, there were probably many more of those posters in the world, so it wouldn't really mean anything about Leela.

Yes, but my point was that the poster was correct in the early versions (Check the animatic from the DVD) It must have been changed to be have been incorrect. I think the animators changed it as a clue to the fans that Leela was, in fact, a mutant and not an alien.

I have a solution to the question about Bender's schooling. Basic robot schools are internet schools. They plug themselves in and download everything they need to know. During the long and boring (to them) downloading periods, the robots use the time to chat with each other, thus making friends at school. Some robots take post-graduate courses at actually physical colleges, where they seem to mostly work on their social skills.
Now, obviously the writers just do/did whatever the plot required with Bender's past, but I think this can satisfy us picky obsessed types.

i had more goofs in mind but i forgot them. There could've been a low release for short people/aliens.
