Is fry stuck in an alternate universe?

in the episode of the why of fry, the fry that we were following since season 1 gets stuck in an alternate universe with the giant brain. then he goes in the past to stop himself from going to the future but ends up letting year 2000 fry freeze himself. does that mean we're following a new timeline?

Kind of, I think. The Fry that allows himself to get frozen tells Nibbler to use a different vehicle to the Scooty Puff Jr., therefore altering the timeline, as the Nibblonians give Fry a Scooty Puff Sr. instread, therefore he never gets trapped in the alternate universe with the Infosphere.

The Fry that has travelled back to the night he got frozen disappears because he has prevented himself from getting trapped, therefore he was never there.
