I went to all lengths to see this movie, and I haven't yet. I've tried various internet ways (nudge) and nothing. I've tried going to the video store, (I got a blank stare and a 'what-lent green?) and the library (nothing). So I haven't seen it.

You could always buy it from Amazon:
 http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/0792840909/qid=1025715743/sr=8-1/ ref=sr_8_1/002-0233435-6455218

Then again, you could get it for less elsewhere:

As odd as this sounds, I don't buy things online.

I taped it off of the Sci-Fi channel a few days ago (UK) and watched it today.

I liked it. It was good. Knowing the 'revelation' did spoil it a bit, as I knew the surprise ending already.

I went to a local bookstore yesterday asking for "Make room! Make room! by Harry Harrison (the novel which inspired "Soylent green" ), but unfortunately it was unavaiable. I had to wait up to 2 weeks. On the other side I didn't find this book in my local library.
I think I'll try to order it on InternetBookshop in autumn after I'll get back from my August holydays...

Can't help but wonder how many movies I--and you--know the ending of, without having seen them...the "shocker" of Soylent Green is practically a part of our cultural heritage, and yet, I've never seen the whole thing. Likewise, few people don't know the secrets of (the original) Planet of the Apes and The Crying Game--although at that point, you lose the campy Chuck Heston performance that make Soylent Green parodies such fun...

On SNL there was a sketch about soylent green which featured Phil Hartman as Heston. It was a very funny sketch about failed sequels to the movie with soylent white, blue... soylent cow pies, and soylent green II

Brainsluggo, I saw the commercial today. Purple won. I wanted teal to win. I guess I should have voted. Oh well.
