I realized something today while watching A Leela of Her Own, in the scene where they meet Hank Aaron jr he drinks from wade Boggs head jar but he does not time travel like what happens in All the Presidents Heads, I dont know if anyone else caught This

Actually, that can be easily explained by...

...you know what, I've got nothing. :(

Maybe they don't use the crystallised opal on all heads.

A lot of people mentioned that, but I don't think I've seen a good explanation for why. Maybe you need to physically lick the head inside. :p

Did the crew all lick the presidents' heads, or just drink their yummy jar juice?

I think I have an ass-pull for this. Wade Boggs' jar has been recently "freshened" with more crystalline opal, moving the temporal stasis bubble he exists in to roughly the present, rather than the portion of the past that heads are normally effectively trapped in.

How's that sound?

That sounds refreshingly adequate.

well then he should've been transported to whenever it was refreshed but nothing happened. Idk it's just an error

I guess they just didn't have the idea of time travel view headlicks yet when they made ALOHO.

[edit] And I just saw this was the 30,000th post in Re-Check/Weird Scenes

I think you're confusing posts with threads. You also seem to capitalize somewhat randomly. Lrn2PEEL. :p

I'd have to go with "they hadn't come up with the time travel thing when they made ALOHO". But since that's obviously lame, I like what tnuk came up with up there, though it's certainly a stretch - how convenient that that one vial containing the entire world's supply managed to be at the exhibit just minutes prior.

I think Bend-err was saying that his post was number 30k, not your original post.

I still don't understand the Crystalline Opal yet, I've only seen the episode once, on the first viewing I look at the details and the animation and stuff like that, on the second I really focus on the plot. :hmpf:

That's an interesting order in which to do things. I'm pretty sure I go the other way around, but okay.

I think the time travel is supposed to work just if you lick the heads.

Decopodians must find it impossible to drink something without simultaneously licking it.

There's no part of that sentence I didn't like.

Actually, I didn't like any of that sentence. :(
