Did you take leap years and seconds into account and also that he woke up a few hours before midnight?

Yes, but this thing just does it between 00:00 1st Jan 2000 and 00:00 31st Dec 2999. I think you can do an advanced search, but yeah.

Yeah, the advanced search lets you search between the date, hours, minutes and seconds too.

The leap seconds might explain why Fry woke up hours earlier?

Let's do something called math. 24 leap seconds have been added in the past 40 years, so if this rate continues, 600 leap seconds would be added, which is 10 minutes.

However, the Earth's rotation might slow down even more in the future, so this is only a ballpark estimate. Even so, it seems unlikely that an hour or so would be added due to leap seconds.

I've been thinking out of boredom, why did Michelle set her tube to wake her up in 2266? I'm guessing it was a random input.

(Not really a goof, but yeah...)

Maybe she wanted to attend a party celebrating the 1200th anniversary of the Battle of Hastings?

She probably wanted to celebrate the 300th anniversary of Walt Disney's death. (More plausible than Hastings thing)

Wikipedia says Star Trek: TOS started in 2266. Significance?

Maybe she thought Fry could somehow be there since she knows he's a fan of it? :p

Or maybe the writers like Star Trek. That's sort of the thing I was going for.

Michelle didn't know Fry was frozen and, if she did, She could have just unfreezed him if she wanted to be with him again.

I know, but she might've been so down she thought "fuck it" and got in. :laff:

This one seems most plausible. Thanks for the info, spira.
