Why didn't anyone notice this when "Leela's Homeworld" first aired?

Weird.  Anyone else notice some inconsistent mutants the second time around?

EDIT: I editted the post so that the images can be seen without having to click away from here.

He could have just grown another ear. He IS a mutant...

To be honest I think it's a mistake, he could be a twin brother though.

Hey, I never noticed that either. I think it's pretty obviously a mistake, but that 'grown another ear' idea's good enough as an excuse.  At least he won't have any problems hearing now, like in 'I Second That Emotion'.

His warts have moved around a bit, too.

Right... I guess being an animator yourself, you can do a lot better than them.

It's weird that in the first scenes he's in in 'Leela's Homeworld', when you see the left side of his face, his extra arm seems to be coming from where an ear should be.

Someone will surely bite my ass completely off for this, but: I think it would be funny as hell if one chase scene in the mutant underground were done "Filmation" style--like Scooby-Doo chase scenes, complete with the same sort of rollaround background, "funny" sound effects, and music.

rollaround background? is that where while running in a straight line they pass the same tree nine times?

the only way it would be funny in futurama is if someone noticed

Leela: Am i going nuts or did we just past by that same tree 12 times in the past 15 seconds?
Fry: You noticed that too huh?

Yeah, because useless exposition is always funny and never degrades the viewers intelligence.  Pfft.

It would be funny as hell if it just happened, and they made it slightly obvious, but didn't draw all attention on screen to it.  There in lies the beauty of comedy.

BTW-I might be crazy, but having the Harlem Globetrotters on the show in a wacky cameo always seemed to me as harkening back to those old Scooby Doo movies, where they had guest stars on every week.  I KNOW the Globetrotters where on those old shows at least once.
