If you're into fanfic, I suggest you take a quick look at some of the Futurama stories at fanfiction.net. Apparently, a whole lot of inarticulate "writers" feel the same way you do. Seriously, there's enough Fry/Bender slash there to turn anyone into a believer of your theory. (And, if that doesn't sate your appetite for robot-on-human action, there are also some Bender/Leela fics.) In my own opinion, I'll concede that Bender is pretty attached to Fry, but I think it's purely about friendship. FistfulofAwesome once wrote a nice little dissection of the progression and subtleties of the Fry/Bender friendship (I'd link to it, if I weren't so lazy), and his basic point was that it's one of the aspects of the show where the writers always got the characterization spot-on. I think it's one of the more compelling aspects of the show, relationship-wise. Edit: Eh, guess I'm not so lazy after all. Here's FoA's post about Fry and Bender.

Hello humans! I came across this site while looking for Fry/Bender (Fry being the top in the "sex") slash fanfiction, and wished to know if anyone was into it enough to aid me in finding some! I'm been a fan of that pairing sense I started reading yaoi (japanese word for guy/guy) and can almost never find good slash for this pairing! I have checked Fanfiction.net and the ones I like never get updated, so if some kind souls could assist in my quest I would appreciate it with all my squidallyplooch! Thank you.

I think it's more of a bromance.
Yeah, I see Fry/Bender the same as JD/Turk (Scrubs) or even Harry/Ron (Harry Potter). Not slash, just Guy Love. Between two guys. Totally innocent, nothing gay about it. But it's love. A deep and abiding friendship. Now I've learned a new word: Bromance. And... Dear God I hate that word!!
but.... Nothing else really comes as close.
Indeed. So I think it's appropriate.

I find the Bender/Fry relationship really cute. Especially as Bender gets so damn jealous - in Jurassic Bark he (attempt) kills Fry's dog so that "now I'm all you've got!", and hell, in The Beast With a Billion Backs he threatens destroying earth and later INVADES HEAVEN because Fry doesn't pay attention to him!
Not robosexuals though. No. Not ever. That would be the end of the series in the same sense as The Simpsons would end if Homer and Marge had a fourth child.

So I guess that the Dallas Cowboy quarterback is a Robot Homosexual.

I think slash ... garbage ... illicit thrill ...crap ... dipwads ... disrespect
This all seems vaguely homophobic. You realize that the characters don't actually exist, right?

(For the benefit of us non-Americans…)
Why?
Bender was called a Robo by the hoboes in 30% Iron Chef. Robot Hobo.He thought they called him a Romo, i.e. a Robot Homosexual. 30% iron chef was aired April 2002 while Tony Romo was still in college. Of course since Romo has dated Jessica Simpson, the above is just a weak attempt at humour.

Watching the show, I can't help but think Bender may be a lil gay on Fry....
...Thoughts?
Can you blame him, I think we are all a lil gay on Fry, I know I am. Also Leela is clearly a lipstick lesbian.

Funny how people confuse friendship between men and homosexuality. Bender has feelings, illogically because he had the same treatment as Johnny #5, an electricity source electrocuting him on his antenna.

Womyn? That's a strange spelling of 'women' (disclaimer: I know why, don't bother enlighten me, but I still think it is silly).
I am going with Bender being a 'womaniser' and his 'affection' for Fry is purely because he doesn't see it as a problem himself. Men can do strange things to one another without being gay in the slightest. Incidentally, a lot of people consider Zapp to be somewhat gay, but he isn't gay at all.

Hi everyone, new to the forum, and HAD to give my input on this one. First of all I think Zapp is so deep in the closet he has got to be finding presents. Think of the lee lemon thing, and it becomes way too clear. It's classic overcompensation. On the subject of Bender being gay on Fry. I don't see it. It's an obvious bromance there. Nothing more. Bender explains it all in Jurassic Bark. "I should've understood how someone could love an inferior creature. Cuz I love you. Not in the way of the ancient greeks, but in the way a robot loves a human, or a human loves a dog. And, Occasionally, a gorilla loves a kitty."

Zapp is not gay. To quote my main man, tnuk: Originally posted by Turanga, A: I agrre that Zapp definetly has some potencial in this area as we saw in war is the h-word. Zapp's attraction for a "man" in that episode was actually for Leela. Watch the thing again. He is worried by the fact that he seems to be attracted to this "man", and when he realises that she is in fact a woman, he is delighted that he has not somehow accidentally become gay.
Zapp compensates a lot because he gets very little. He's obviously comfortable with his sexuality, or he wouldn't be so casual about wearing a uniform which includes a velour miniskirt.
I think that Zapp is one of the most obviously heterosexual males in the show. You have to remember that Zapp isn't exactly the brightest star in the cosmos, bless 'im. He was attracted to Leela by all the same things that drew him to her originally, but without realising that it was her. Whilst he thought "Lee Lemon" was a man, he was disturbed by this, suggesting that he finds the idea of having a homosexual liason quite unsettling. People are just too eager to apply the "gay" label.
Or people are just stupid, and don't get jokes. I dunno. Just watch the episode again, and get it straight in your head.
Zapp is not gay.
Captain Zapp Brannigan is the greatest space hero who will ever live. How dare you bring unfounded slander against his name?
I weep for your intellectual decrepitude.
