Nine (or is it eight?) feministas break out of jail. Then Leela, Amy and LaBarabara get onto Planet Express ship. What happened to the rest of them?

Im not sure, maybe:

1) They got shot
2) They got caught and got sent back to prison

It looks like they decided it was safer to stay behind bars, that or the getting shot bit, most of them weren't as skilled at fighting/escaping as Leela, Amy, and Labarabra

yeah, I remember pointing this out in some other thread somewhere.  They probably decided that staying in their cell was a sight better than trying to dodge fire from half a dozen machine gun nests.

I think it was a conscious decision on the part of the writers to disregard the peripheral feministas at that point. The only ones they needed for the final scene were Amy, Leela, and LaBarbara; wasting story time explaining what happened to the others just seems silly to me.

I'm not so sure about them getting shot, though. I mean, wasn't Linda one of the forgotten feministas? Killing her off, even ambiguously and off-screen, would be a dumb move. Honestly, I think it's just one of those contrivances that we're not supposed to think too hard about ('course, this is PEEL ;)).

Edit: Suss's and soylentOrange's theories are good, too.

Hold on, if my memory serves me correct (unlikely), I don't remember seeing the other feministas dodging the machine guns. Looks like they chickened out ;)

If the writers decide to make the first episode of Season 6 take place after ITWGY most of us hope that they don't abandon the fact that the crew are outlaws, right? So if there is an answer within 601 (likely a pardon from Nixon and/or Kif persuades Zapp by rejoining him) we can just assume it extends to the other Feministas.

They dropped out at the last minute because they realised one of the guards looked really cute...

Anyways I'm sure it will be answered in Season 6.

assuming there will be a season six.  I'm not too optomistic about that.

Nonsense. Glasses are like guns, there's no such thing as too big.

So, a bank robber could unsuspiciously walk down a New York Street with a 3 metre long missile launcher in his pocket.

I mean in general. For certain things small size is good but for others you want something rediculously huge. Attacking Sevastopol for example.

I believe season 6 is going to happen.   It seemed like on the back cover of ITWGY, it said "will this be the end of Planet Express?"  when they went into that wormhole, it seemed like it was.

I think that they just finally realized that the only proper place for a woman is in the kitchen and went home to make their men some sandwiches.

Thread necromancy...HOORAY!! :)

There was one thing about that scene that bothers me: In the beginning, the feministas were a group a ennerving, but rather harmless goodminds.

It was Leela's doing that turned them into a group of wanted terrorists, being sentenced to a life behind bars. (50 years...yep, that's it with your lives)

Yet, in that scene it was only the fanatical ones (Leela,  Amy, Labarbara) getting away, but those who were "dragged along" stayed behind, their chance of a normal life gone.

Regarding the "Carry the consequences of your actions" aspect in fiction,  a certain "fairness/justice" is very important for me.  So that was one scene that -though it didn't ruin ITGWY for me- ranks still among my favorite "inacceptable Futurama scenes".

(Not that I did care very much about those feministas...that group just didn't do it for me)

I'm guessing they were let out/pardoned, since we see Linda again in her old job, and Petunia seems to be fine as well so I would assume the others were let out too.

I can't remember, did Hattie join the Feministas too?

Following the quote Danny posted in the News Thread about Zapp pardoning Leela, Amy, and LaBarbara for being fugitives, I assume the others were pardoned as well.

In the year 300+, people live to age 160 on a regular basis. And can be artificially youthasized back into their sexy young 6-year-old selves. 50 years isn't that big a deal.
