So, I was watching Love and Rocket when a thought struck me with a baseball bat. When Bender dumped the PES and the ship decided, after a long line of events, to fly into the quasar... Instead of disabling the carbonated logic matrix, why didn't the crew just change the personality of the ship back into a male persona?

I wish I could do that, but I have made myself a promise; that I will learn as much as possible about Star Trek, without ever watching any of it.  Purely by reading wikis and whatnot.

Let's just say, I don't know that much about Star Trek yet.
