Hobbitboy: The script has Bender saying, "Scarab, forearm, bird-bird-bird!" Sounds like a verbal list of hieroglyphics. From a quick check on the web that would translate to something like "Become (or life/death), give, power!" which sounds a bit like "Hand it over!" or "Give me or you're dead!"

Originally posted by seattlejohn01: This has probably been mentioned, but in one of the earlier episodes, it's established that Bender went to Bending college by rolling him up on a conveyer belt & downloading his bending knowledge into him; he's handed a diploma right there. But, later we hear he went to an actual college and joined "robot house". Hmmm... Maybe he just wanted to learn more...ever think of that?

He joined Robot House but I don't remember him talking about going to classes which sounds about right for some frats. Maybe after his knowledge download they gave him a coupon for Robot House.

FOUND A GOOF!
The producers claim that Owls have killed all the rats, and taken over as the new pests of earth, but in the episode "I second that emotion", Bender lays rat poison on the floor and exclaims "that'll take care of those pesky rats"

In Leela's Homeworld the mutants use a rat to demonstrate the effects of their mutogenic lake.
In one of the commentaries they admit to having forgotten that rats were extinct on several occasions. Just like how they periodically forgot that the technology of the wheel was also supposed to have been lost.

Alright, this may have been said, but I don't know. In the shot below, Nibbler is here, and doing fine. Here, Nibbler ran off to roam Atlantic City! But within seconds, he's back with Leela. Though it might not seem like a lot, I found it interesting.

*354 day bump* I was watching The Series Has Landed this afternoon and I noticed a couple of goofs that I'd never noticed before: The red trim that wraps around the hull is way too big and in the wrong place in the first image, and the dimensions of the whole ship are off in the second one (look at the portholes).

The ship is always wrong when it is drawn in 2D, The first image you can see that they filled in the wrong area with red. just like in the same episode around bender's eyes was gray instead of black, and I think either in that one or the pilot one of Leela's boots was coloured fully black.
I'd disagree. If you listen to the commentary of "I, Roommate", the animators say that the ship were often incorrectly drawn in 2D during the first episodes, because the 3D model had yet to be build. In other words, they had very little go from, so they just drew as they went along. When the ship was later in a 3D model, the 2D drawings of it appeared very consistent and have remained so. Though, they often resort to the 3D model rather than drawing it.

This isn't technically a goof, I guess, but I've always wondered, in Brannigan Begin Again when they make the delivery to the planet with the funny gravity, why didn't Leela park the ship closer to the hotel they were delivering the pillows to?
I thought of that the other day when I was watching that episode. Restricted airspace.
Couldn't find a parking-place? I'll just... ooze... back out under the door now...
