There was a thread just like this a few spaces below but nobody answered and this is something that really burns my britches. Blernsball is supposed to be a new version of baseball that is just on the edge of comprehensibility (re: Matt Groening in Commentary on Blurnsball's original appearence in the Robot Planet Episode).
Yet in A Leela Of Her Own, as the commentator on the lower thread pointed out, Blernsball is turned into nothing more than baseball with something weird happening every now and then (but never really that weird). It is nothing like the original Blernsball. What is to explain this very large change in the sport of Blernsball between Season 1 and Season 3?
